As a Fitter Welder, you’ll play a key role in the fabrication and welding of components that power our innovative solutions. This is more than just a job-it’s a chance to grow your career in a supportive, safety-first manufacturing environment.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Fitter Welder, you will:\nApply your MIG welding experience to fabricate and assemble high-quality products.\nOperate advanced welding tools such as the Miller Aluma Pro MIG gun, GMAW, and plasma cutting equipment.\nInterpret blueprints and specifications to ensure precision and quality.\nPerform technical inspections and maintain accurate documentation.\nSupport continuous improvement through participation in 5S, Kaizen events, and training programs.\nCollaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nMinimum 6 months of MIG welding experience (Alloy and Steel).\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certifications.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and AutoCAD drawings.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety.\nExcellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills.\nWillingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a positive work environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nWelding technical school certification.\nExperience with TIG welding and routine maintenance.\n1+ years of hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing setting.\nFamiliarity with GMAW processes and metalworking machinery.\nWhy Johnson Controls?\nBe part of a global leader in smart building technologies.\nWork in a collaborative, inclusive, and safety-focused environment.\nAccess to ongoing training and development opportunities.\nCompetitive pay and comprehensive benefits.\n\n HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $23.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
