You will perform a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, safety and health, productivity and ensuring employee compliance with Company policies in a manufacturing facility.\nHow you will do it\nOperate a sit-down forklift and other industrial machinery like mobile column lifts or mobile entry crane.\nRotate product into and out of our buildings for manufacturing accessibility.\nLoad and unload trucks with the correct equipment to and from our facility.\nCheck that loads are centered and properly loaded.\nTrack manufacturing unit progress and know ship dates to ensure timely load outs.\nBe able to problem solve and stay alert for changes to create solutions.\nCommunicate with supervisor to ensure fulfillment in servicing out buildings.\nMust be willing to work outside for long periods of time in all seasons\nMulti-task and prioritize company daily schedules and requirements.\nWork with other job families like production to report timely movement of goods.\nPrioritization in accordance with company daily schedule and requirements.\nOccasional pallet building and stacking crates, pallets, lumber, or other material.\nSome tasks require working with chemicals, ex: Alcohol and/or paint thinners.\nEnsures the safe and efficient movement of finished product and other goods.\nMaintain clean work area.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat we look for\nSafety policies must be always adhered to.\nIt is very important that the incumbent of this position can work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.\nUse of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g., hardhat, safety glasses, safety boots, ear protection, cut level 5 gloves etc.).\nRegularly works near moving parts.\nRequires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.\nNoise levels can fluctuate from quiet to loud.\nMay work in tight spaces\nHazards associated with the industry.\nClimate controlled shop, occasional exposure to heat, manufacturing environment noise level, dust, working at heights; all employees must always wear required PPE while working.\nInteraction with people, working around people, planning of activities, making judgements in emergency situations, frequent changes in duties and volume of work, interorganizational communication.\nOccupational travel to offsite locations.\nRequired\nLoading and unloading experience\nFLT certifications and crane certifications\nMust read and write.\nOutlook, Excel, Word, and web browser skills required.\nAnalytical problem solver with good communication skills.\nExperience with all safe practices, procedures, and overall processes.\nMust have a valid US Driver License.\nPreferred\nCompletion of high school or equivalent education plus additional education preferred.\n2+ years previous experience\nJohnson Controls International plc. is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a qualified individual with a disability or any other characteristic protected by law.
