In this role, you will lead HVAC Building Automation projects with a focus on technical quality, customer satisfaction, safe execution, and strong project performance.\nRole Overview\nAs an HVAC Controls Project Manager, you will serve as the on-site technical and project leader for assigned HVAC and Building Automation projects. You will guide work from kickoff through commissioning and closeout, coordinate the people and materials needed to deliver results, and keep customers informed throughout the project lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the planning, execution, and completion of control systems projects for assigned customers.\nDesign system hardware, develop control programming, and coordinate installation activities.\nDirect system and network commissioning, validation, and project closeout.\nProvide day-to-day guidance to subcontractors, technicians, designers, and installers.\nAct as the primary customer contact and maintain clear, proactive communication throughout the project.\nManage project costs, billings, collections, revenue, and margin performance.\nIdentify change orders, scope growth opportunities, and contract impacts.\nEnsure work meets applicable state, local, and federal requirements.\nDevelop as-built documentation, commissioning records, training materials, and operation manuals.\nTrain owners and operators on system operation and support a successful handover.\nHow You Will Do It\nOwn outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrityby keeping project execution aligned with customer expectations, quality standards, and code requirements.\nStay close to the work and remove obstacles earlyby coordinating directly with field teams, vendors, and customers to prevent delays and rework.\nImprove every day through candid communication and practical problem-solvingby reviewing scope, schedule, commissioning, and cost impacts as conditions change.\nWin as one teamby building trust across internal partners, subcontractors, consultants, and customers and sharing clear updates throughout the project.\nUse established standards to design and program HVAC control systems and verify complete system functionality.\nLead controller loading, device verification, and commissioning activities to confirm performance before turnover.\nCoordinate field device and panel installation so work matches the approved design and project requirements.\nTrack project revenue, costs, and margins, and provide regular status updates to management.\nManage procurement by selecting materials, securing vendor pricing, and monitoring delivery schedules.\nCoach technicians, designers, installers, and subcontractors so work is completed safely and to a high standard.\nQualifications\nAssociate's degree in a technical field plus 4 years of related field experience, or 6 years of equivalent hands-on experience in HVAC / Building Automation.\nStrong experience with system design, programming, and commissioning of digital HVAC controls.\nSolid understanding of control theory and building automation systems.\nAbility to work independently and lead projects with confidence.\nStrong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.\nProficiency with Windows, Excel, and related applications.\nWorking knowledge of project costing, accounting principles, and contracting.\nNice to Have\nBachelor's degree in a technical field with 6+ years of HVAC industry experience.\nExperience preparing project status and performance reports for senior leadership.\nDemonstrated commitment to employee and subcontractor safety.\nWhy Join Us\nWe offer a competitive salary, paid vacation/holidays/sick time with 15 days of vacation in the first year, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401K, medical, dental, and vision care available on day one.
