In this role, you will lead a field technician team supporting service and installation work while balancing customer satisfaction, profitability, and compliance.\nRole Overview\nYou will oversee the day-to-day activity of the field technician team, plan monthly technician routes, and help ensure the business runs safely, efficiently, and profitably. This position combines team leadership, operational execution, customer satisfaction, and close coordination with sales and branch leadership.\nKey Responsibilities\nOversee the day-to-day activities of the field technician team and plan monthly technician routes.\nAnalyze team performance and recommend changes to improve profitability, safety, and client satisfaction.\nSupervise assigned teams and ensure developmental plans are in place.\nLead the execution of assigned business activities and ensure consistency of delivery systems.\nCoordinate team work with sales to support sales opportunities, including linkage to installation opportunities.\nRaise potential market opportunities to the appropriate branch or region resource for strategic direction.\nEnsure serviced account portfolios achieve growth, proper profit levels, and customer satisfaction.\nRecommend and support staffing requirements for the assigned business.\nImplement and monitor HVAC operations standards and audit the effectiveness of operations to improve performance.\nEnsure contractual obligations are completed and customer satisfaction is achieved.\nDrive service and installation operational review meetings and review bids and estimates for accuracy.\nApply branch workforce and management resources effectively.\nAnalyze operational processes and provide recommendations for improvement.\nSupport performance reviews, acquisitions, recruiting, hiring, retention, and other managerial responsibilities aligned with business strategy.\nProvide clear performance expectations, one-on-one coaching, operational reviews, financial reviews, and development plans for direct reports in partnership with the appropriate matrix functional manager.\nWork with team leaders to ensure the workforce and skill levels needed for successful and profitable execution.\nHow You Will Do It\nYou will own outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrityby setting clear expectations, following through on commitments, and keeping compliance at the center of your decisions.\nYou will stay close to the workby understanding technician schedules, customer needs, and operational constraints so you can remove obstacles quickly.\nYou will improve every dayby reviewing performance, bids, estimates, and operating results, then turning observations into practical process improvements.\nYou will lead from the field by maintaining visibility with technicians, participating in jobsite activities, and providing hands-on coaching to improve technical execution, safety performance, and customer satisfaction.\nYou will develop a highly skilled workforce by personally assisting with technician training, troubleshooting complex systems, startup activities, commissioning efforts, and technical knowledge transfer.\nYou will dedicate time each week to field engagement activities focused on mentoring technicians, identifying development opportunities, and ensuring consistent work practices across the team.\nSupport and lead project kickoff meetings with customers, subcontractors, project managers, engineers, and technical staff to establish project expectations, communication protocols, scope clarification, safety requirements, and execution plans.\nLead, Support, facilitate and participate in system mockups, design reviews, and pre-installation planning sessions to validate installation approaches, reduce execution risk, and ensure alignment with customer requirements, contract documents, and Johnson Controls standards.\nCoordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure installation activities are performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, schedules, quality requirements, and safety expectations.\nWork directly with customers, subcontractors, technicians, project managers, and engineering resources to drive alignment, reduce execution risk, and promote successful project outcomes.\nYou will win as one teamby partnering with sales, branch leadership, matrix functions, and field technicians to support consistent delivery and growth.\nYou will provide steady coaching, monthly one-on-ones, and developmental feedback so your team has the support and clarity needed to perform well.\nQualifications\nA minimum of five (5) years of progressive operational experience in HVAC services.\nThree (3) years of experience in a management role with responsibility for the productivity and development of others.\nAbility to lead field operations, balance customer satisfaction with financial goals, and make sound decisions in a service environment.\nExperience working with cross-functional partners such as sales, branch leadership, and matrix managers.\nStrong communication, coaching, and organizational skills.\nNice to Have\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent working experience.\nJohnson Controls Metasys experience.\nEight (8) years’ experience in an operational HVAC role with leadership
