Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface. Mentors' peers on mechanical HVAC installation & service activities. Properly completes required project and service documentation. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service\nHow you will do it\nApprentices are governed by the local union agreement, and they will perform all pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment service and all other work coming under this Agreement assigned by the Employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the Employer, at the respective apprentice rate of pay, and shall perform all assigned work under the direction of the Employer.\nProvide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.\nRoutine service and inspections, regardless of size or location of the HVAC mechanical equipment being inspected or serviced, where this work is done as a periodic and routine procedure by the Employer, such as:\nChange and service filters\nOiling and greasing\nAdjust or replace belts\nClean cooling towers, coils, evaporator and condenser tubes and general housekeeping\nMechanical systems operation under contract with customer\nCleaning and routine maintenance of solar energy equipment\nIndoor Air Quality related work including duct systems and drain pans\nWhat we look for\nRequired\nMust be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.\nVocational School four-year program or an associate degree in mechanical systems, air conditioning or similar field\n1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry\nGenerally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques\nEffective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner\nAbility to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people\nLeadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site\nPay Range: $27.64 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
