The Lead designation is that of a “working lead”, where the majority of the employee’s time is hands on as a functioning team member.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nEnsure crew is arriving on time, ready and fit for duty at the start of each shift.\nHost a morning meeting with crew at start of shift to delegate work for the day.\nReview any job-related issues or safety concerns.\nEnsure workers have proper material and tools to complete daily tasks.\nTrains new workers on methods and procedures specific to the area of expertise.\nFamiliarize self with and/or request training concerning new equipment.\nEstablish methods with workers to meet work schedule deadlines.\nEnsure workers are wearing proper PPE and working in a safe manner.\nEnsure quality of work is maintained to a high standard (Quality Control).\nResolve any work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and quality of work.\nEnsure workers adhere to company rules, policies and procedures.\nAssist in inventory management of material and consumables to prevent sudden shortages which can affect work schedule and productivity\nCompleting required paperwork and maintaining accurate record keeping.\nSet goals and manage time efficiently.\nDemonstrate effective leadership skills, team building skills and the ability to supervise and motivate effectively.\nSupport shop hygiene and 5-S program.\nPerform all duties in accordance with the Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards.\nOrganize department and keep department clean, also clean department at the end of each work day.\nInspect equipment to ensure good working order.• Other duties as required. \nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities\nPost-secondary education in a related field is an asset.\n1 or more years’ experience as a production or construction team lead.\nDirect working knowledge of operations, warehouse, and transportation management.\nKnowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.\nKnowledge of local and federal regulations including AOHS and Employment Standards Code.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.\nStrong customer service orientation.\nFirst Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.\nExperience with all safe practices, procedures, and overall processes associated with manufacturing from raw materials to finished product. Working Conditions\nCommercial/Industrial environment.\nManual dexterity required to use necessary tools.\nExercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $19.23 - $30.76 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
