Working closely with firmware, hardware, software, and quality engineers, you will help deliver innovative and reliable products that sit at the intersection of software and hardware.\nHow You Will Do It\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for access control panels, readers, and I/O devices \nDevelop software using C/C++ on Embedded Linux and Zephyr RTOS platforms \nSupport hardware integration, board bring-up activities, and system diagnostics \nModify and maintain Linux platform components including Buildroot, U-Boot, kernel drivers, and device trees \nDebug issues across hardware and software, utilizing tools such as JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers \nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle \nSupport product enhancements, sustaining engineering efforts, and field issue investigations \nRequired Qualifications\nUS Citizen and/or Permanent Resident of the US.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field \n1-3 years of professional experience in embedded software or firmware development \nExperience developing software in C/C++ \nExperience working with Embedded Linux systems \nFamiliarity with Linux kernel, device drivers, Buildroot, U-Boot, or related embedded Linux technologies \nStrong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Zephyr or other real-time operating systems (RTOS) \nExperience with board bring-up, hardware diagnostics, and embedded debugging \nFamiliarity with ARM- or NXP-based embedded platforms \nExperience using tools such as JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers \nExposure to Bluetooth, cybersecurity technologies, or connected devices \nExperience working in an Agile development environment \nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $79,000 - $110,000 (salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
