Opportunities are available at our Edmonton, Sherwood Park, and Nisku locations.\nJob Summary\nThe Maintenance technician position is responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and upkeep of fabrication CNC and welding equipment across our manufacturing plants in the Edmonton area. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated systems to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform preventive and predictive maintenance on fabrication CNC and robotic welding equipment to ensure maximum uptime.\nTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in automated machinery.\nFollow up the implementation of reliability strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce failures.\nCollaborate with production teams to optimize equipment functionality and support manufacturing goals.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and reliability metrics.\nEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements during all maintenance activities.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce operational costs.\nFollow maintenance team activities to ensure service to the production across all plants.\nQualifications\nDiploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.\nProven experience in equipment maintenance and reliability within a manufacturing environment.\nBasic knowledge of CNC metalworking machinery, robotics, fabrication equipment, and industrial automation systems.\nProficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control systems.\nProblem-solving and analytical skills.\nCommunication and teamwork abilities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nOpen mind about new ideas and eager to learn new technologies,\nFamiliarity with predictive maintenance technologies and reliability-centered maintenance practice.\nJohnson Controls’ Canadian subsidiaries are committed to providing reasonable accommodation to applicants, candidates and employees with disabilities, in accordance with applicable human rights legislation, and in Ontario, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (“AODA”).
