This role focuses on applying Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies while developing and optimizing machines and equipment for the production floor. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with hands-on problem-solving and process improvement skills.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead the design and implementation of stable production flows using Lean principles and CI tools.\nAnalyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for waste reduction, efficiency improvements, and cost savings.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), root cause analysis, and standard work.\nDevelop, design, and improve manufacturing equipment, tooling, and processes to support production requirements.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, and engineering) to enhance operational performance.\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) and ensure production readiness.\nEstablish and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nMonitor production performance metrics (OEE, yield, downtime) and implement corrective actions.\nLead troubleshooting efforts and implement long-term corrective and preventive actions.\nEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.\nTrain and mentor production staff on Lean tools and improved manufacturing practices.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.\nProven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process improvement.\nStrong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.\nExperience in designing, developing, or modifying manufacturing equipment and tooling.\nHands-on experience with production line optimization and process stabilization.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.\nPreferred Skills:\nCertification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher), or equivalent.\nExperience with automation, industrial equipment, or robotics.\nFamiliarity with CAD software for equipment design.\nKnowledge of manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, takt time, cycle time, and throughput.\nExperience with PLCs or control systems is a plus.\nBilingual English/Spanish is a plus.\nAdditional Requirements:\nStrong communication and leadership skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities.\nHands-on mindset with a focus on practical implementation on the shop floor.\nContinuous learning attitude and drive for operational excellence.\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $67,000 - $95,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
