This role offers the opportunity to work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve equipment performance, process efficiency, quality, and safety. You will gain hands-on experience supporting production operations, equipment implementation, process improvement initiatives, and continuous improvement projects while developing valuable technical and professional skills.\nHow you will do it:\nSupport the creation, revision, and maintenance of standard work instructions, work orders, and manufacturing process documentation.\nAssist with root cause analysis investigations and corrective action implementation for process and equipment issues.\nSupport the build, installation, qualification, and startup of new manufacturing equipment and tooling.\nIdentify opportunities to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency across manufacturing operations.\nDesign, build, and operate test fixtures to support manufacturing and engineering objectives.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, evaluate, and optimize production processes.\nAssist in collecting and analyzing manufacturing data to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport asset management activities to improve equipment reliability, utilization, and performance.\nDocument findings, process changes, and project results clearly and effectively.\nDemonstrate Johnson Controls' Winning Behaviors by focusing on impactful work, collaborating effectively, taking ownership of assigned projects, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.\nRequired Qualifications:\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.\nDemonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and complete assignments efficiently and effectively.\nAdaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to document technical processes and procedures clearly.\nExperience with CAD software, with SolidWorks preferred.\nAbility to work on-site at least four days per week.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious co-op, internship, or industry experience.\nBasic knowledge of manufacturing processes or previous experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience with data analysis tools.\nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.\nExperience with inventory management systems and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).\nInterest in process optimization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.\nWhy Join Us?\nAt Johnson Controls, you'll gain meaningful hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment where your work contributes directly to improving production processes, equipment performance, safety, and quality.
