We pride ourselves on innovation, quality, and delivering tailored solutions to meet our clients' unique needs.\nWorking Conditions:\nEnsure crew is arriving on time, ready and fit for duty at the start of each shift\nHost a morning meeting with crew at start of shift to delegate work for the day\nReview any job related issues or safety concerns\nEnsure workers have proper material and tools to complete daily tasks\nTrain apprentices in job duties\nCheck to ensure subassembly counts are correct and items meet a visual quality inspection and report any discrepancies to the fabrication area.\nEstablish methods with workers to meet work schedule deadlines\nEnsure workers are wearing proper PPE and working in a safe manner\nEnsure quality of work is maintained to a high standard\nResolve any work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and quality of work\nEnsure workers adhere to company rules, policies and procedures\nEnsure workers are following scheduled break times\nEscalate disciplinary action required as per company policies and procedures\nUnderstand sequence of operation\nBecome familiar with equipment being gathered and verify where and how components are delivered.\nCo-ordinate daily tasks with other trade supervisors to ensure clear lines of communication\nManage inventory of material and consumables to prevent sudden shortages which can affect work schedule and productivity\nCompleting required paperwork and maintaining accurate record keeping\nSet goals and manage time efficiently\nDemonstrate effective leadership skills, team building skills and the ability to supervise and motivate effectively.\nOther duties as assigned\nThis position requires shop work. When working in the shop, one must exercise caution as this environment presents many naturally-occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards including small or large projectiles, contamination with toxic gasses/liquids, impalement, crushing, electrocution, explosion, immolation, decapitation and asphyxiation. Safety policies (i.e. respiratory protection) must be adhered to at all times while visiting, touring and/or working in the shop.
