Moves material within a warehouse or storage facility to and from the loading dock by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment. Applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization. Duties and tasks are standardized. Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels. Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish tasks.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMust be at least 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehousing and Power Industrial Vehicle Operation. Proficiency in WMS applications and basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills are required. Must have strong organizational skills and be detail and goal orientated. Required to follow the directions and policies of the department and have the ability to communicate effectively with team members and internal customers. There will be long hours of standing and bending. Lifts up to 40lbs in some material handler’s duties. Must be flexible with work schedule, including overtime and weekends, to meet customer demands.\n\nENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, AND SAFETY OBLIGATIONS\n Comply with the following Environmental, Health and Safety duties as a condition of employment:\nComply with safety rules\nAttend and Participate in Safety Training\nParticipate actively in the safety process\nAsk questions if something isn’t known\nReport all accidents and injuries immediately\nSubmit suggestions to improve safety\nKnow responsibilities in the event of an emergency (i.e. what to do in the event of an alarm for fire, chemical spills, tornados, etc.)\nBe a coach to others who are acting unsafely\nMust have Lock-out tags after 6 months\nAttend and participate in all hazardous and non-hazardous waste trainings.\nAbility to recognize chemical hazardous labels.\nSpill management and clean-up.\nAir shutoff locations.\nCapability to follow satellite accumulation rules and requirements.\nProficiency to recognize hazardous wastes in your area and manage properly.\nDUTIES\nPick, pack and ship parts according to SAP shipping procedures and work instructions\nRequired to use a RF Scanner\nLoad and unload materials in warehouse and receive materials into assigned storage bin\nAccurately loads and safely moves materials to ensure timely and complete deliveries\nSupporting the training and development of peers within the organization.\nOther projects/work as assigned by supervisor\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $23.57 - $24.82 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
