This hybrid role combines hands-on mechanical maintenance with utility system monitoring and operation, with a strong emphasis on industrial maintenance. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable troubleshooting equipment and managing critical utility infrastructure that supports plant production and maintenance.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMaintenance Duties:\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on indoor/outdoor process equipment including pumps, valves, tanks, piping, and rotating machinery, etc.\nPlans, selects, and lays out required materials for service, repair, and preventive maintenance work.\nTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems\nSupport installation and commissioning of new equipment and process lines.\nMaintain accurate records in the CMMS and follow all safety and environmental protocols.\nProvides direction and training to less experienced O&M Specialists.\nRequisitions new supplies and equipment.\nPerform other duties as required.\nUtility Operations:\nMonitor and operate plant utility systems including boilers, chillers, scrubbers, HVAC, water chemical feed systems, other continuous process systems.\nConduct routine inspections and log readings for utility performance and compliance.\nRespond to alarms and abnormal conditions in utility systems and take corrective action.\nAssist with startup, shutdown, and emergency response procedures for utility systems.\nPerform other duties as required.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, process technology, or a related field preferred.\nMinimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or utility operations, preferably in a chemical or industrial manufacturing environment.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and experience with continuous process operations\nFamiliarity with utility systems such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, Dust Collectors, Scrubbers, etc.\nAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals.\nComfortable working in outdoor environments and around hazardous materials.\nKnowledge of safety procedures including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and chemical handling and disposal.\nIs required to participate in an on-call rotation schedule to attend to emergency situations at the facility.\nMust be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.\nMust be able to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and special maintenance events as needed.\nRequired to use a variety of hand and power tools or man lift.\nMust be able to pass a thorough background check and subject interview.\nValid driver’s license required.\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience in a PSM-regulated facility.\nBasic electrical troubleshooting or instrumentation knowledge.\nSCADA or DCS system experience.\nBuilding Automation Experience\nStrong communication and teamwork abilities.\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25-39 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
