Based ideally in the Manchester or Leeds area, you will work closely with Sales Managers, Operations teams and customers to develop technical solutions for HVAC projects ranging from equipment supply only through to full replacement and new-build installations.\nYou will be responsible for assessing customer requirements, selecting appropriate equipment, producing concept designs and generating technical and commercial documentation for a wide range of applications across manufacturing, process cooling, industrial and commercial markets. opportunities\nSupportive, collaborative and safety-driven culture\nHow You Will Do It\nSupport Sales Managers with the technical selection and application of HVAC equipment for customer enquiries.\nProduce basic concept designs for retrofit, replacement and new installation projects.\nConduct site visits, independently or alongside Sales Managers, to understand customer requirements and survey existing systems.\nSelect chillers, air source heat pumps, air handling units and associated HVAC equipment using manufacturer selection software, including York Selection Navigator.\nGenerate technical-commercial proposals, specifications, performance reports, drawings and cost sheets.\nDevelop solutions for applications across industrial, commercial, manufacturing, process cooling, healthcare and leisure sectors.\nLiaise with customers, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders throughout the pre-sales process.\nManage enquiries received through Salesforce and progress opportunities in a timely manner.\nSupport equipment selection from alternative manufacturers when a suitable York solution is unavailable.\nProvide accurate cost information and technical documentation to enable formal quotations.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nRequired\nProven experience within the HVAC industry in a design, applications, pre-sales or technical engineering role.\nStrong technical knowledge of chillers, air source heat pumps and air handling units.\nUnderstanding of wider HVAC systems including ventilation, rooftop packaged units and fan coil systems.\nAbility to interpret customer requirements and develop practical technical solutions.\nExperience producing technical proposals, equipment schedules and cost estimates.\nStrong communication and customer-facing skills.\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally when required.\nBeneficial\nExperience selecting large-scale chillers and heat pumps ranging from 32kW to 12MW, including air-cooled, water-cooled, 2-pipe, 4-pipe and absorption systems.\nKnowledge of psychrometrics and AHU design standards.\nExperience using York Selection Navigator or similar HVAC selection software.\nFamiliarity with the York and Sabroe product ranges.\nAutoCAD experience.\nKnowledge of healthcare, leisure, process cooling or industrial HVAC applications.\nHNC/HND or degree qualification in Mechanical, Building Services or related Engineering
