Design Variable Speed Drive (VSD) control for JCI chiller applications using MATLAB/SIMULINK. They conduct prototype testing and confirm that the product operates as expected with reference to specific design requirements.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct system modeling, system simulation and verification using MATLAB/Simulink.\nConduct prototype testing on hardware-in-loop system, variable speed drives and chiller to verify control performance.\nSupport field issue trouble shooting and control method improvements.\nMaintain/lead electronic circuit designs with embedded processors and FPGA/CPLD.\nPerform worst case circuit analysis and incorporation of appropriate reliability principles to ensure reliable operation over the environmental specifications.\nAssist internal customers to develop, test and support PCBA related projects.\nIndependently conduct and apply cost analysis to feasibility studies on proposed designs or modifications to existing designs.\nUnderstanding and complying with quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBSEE or BSCE, or related field.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, schedule driven, team-oriented environment with strong verbal and written communication skills.\nUnderstanding of PCBA designs with embedded processors and/or FPGA is required.\nUnderstanding of power electronics and motor control is required.\nUnderstanding of system modeling and simulation using MATLAB/SIMULINK is required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with layout tools such as Altium is a plus.\nFamiliarity with TI MCUs is desired.\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $110,000 - $140,000 (salary rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
