This role offers a unique opportunity to experience all facets of the business- including design, customer interactions, and manufacturing. Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a willingness to \"wear many hats\" are essential for success in this position.\nWhat You Will Do\nDesign CAD models for cutting-edge thermal management applications and run proprietary software programs to evaluate and qualify parts\nUse hardware to produce test parts and samples\nTest, collect, and analyze data to effectively communicate results\nCollaborate with Engineering and Production teams to test new geometries and drive process improvements\nPerform testing on final parts and support the refinement of test methods\nGenerate content for customer-facing application notes, including renderings and data summaries\nRequired Qualifications\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field\nAble to work on-site at least four days per week\nAdaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment\nLegally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship\nPreferred Skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nA strong sense of ownership- completing tasks efficiently and effectively\nPrior industry co-ops or internships strongly preferred\nExperience with OnShape or SOLIDWORKS, including modeling, drawings, and GD&T\nFamiliarity with traditional manufacturing techniques, such as CNC and manual machining\nCoursework or hands-on experience writing in Python\nWhy Join Us?\nAt Johnson Controls, you'll gain meaningful hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment where your work contributes directly to improving production processes, equipment performance, safety, and quality.
