We are looking for a Project Development Engineer/Pre Sales Engineer.\nYou will be part of the GCOE team and will work in a vibrant environment focused on expanding our footprint and customer base, while supporting strong growth objectives through high-quality technical and commercial proposals.\nRole Overview\nAs a Project Development Engineer / Pre Sales Engineer, you will use your building automation and controls expertise to prepare competitive bids and proposals that meet customer specifications. You will manage technical clarifications, estimate project costs, and support multiple tenders at the same time to help secure new business across the region.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare bid and proposal submissions based on customer requirements and technical specifications.\nPrepare RFIs and support clarification responses throughout the tender process.\nAttend site surveys and bid-clarification meetings to gather accurate project information.\nRequest and review quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors.\nEstimate in-house product costs, engineering effort, labor, and project management costs.\nManage multiple tenders simultaneously and ensure submissions are competitive and on time.\nCoordinate with clients on specifications, technical clarifications, and proposal alignment.\nSupport the controls service and retrofit business with a strong focus on commercial accuracy and technical compliance.\nHow You Will Do It\nTake ownership of each tender with accountability, accuracy, and integrityso every proposal is complete, compliant, and submitted on time.\nStay close to the customer, site conditions, and technical scopeby asking the right questions early and removing obstacles quickly.\nUse continuous improvement and candid problem-solvingto strengthen estimation accuracy, improve proposal quality, and refine your approach over time.\nWork as one teamwith sales, engineering, suppliers, sub-contractors, and clients to align technical solutions and commercial assumptions.\nKeep the customer outcome in focusby balancing retrofit feasibility, technical performance, pricing, and delivery expectations.\nQualifications\nBachelor of Engineering or Technology in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a similar discipline.\nMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in building automation, controls, pre-sales, estimation, or retrofit project support.\nStrong technical knowledge in CPO/CPM retrofit offerings.\nStrong technical knowledge in HVAC controls design optimization for retrofit projects.\nExperience preparing bids, RFIs, quotations, and cost estimates for multiple projects or tenders.\nNegotiation skills and vendor management experience.\nProficiency in MS Office and Visio.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nFluency in English.\nUnderstanding of the UAE controls service and retrofit business.\nValid UAE driving license.\nResult-oriented, tenacious, self-motivated, and customer-focused approach.\nNice to Have\nJohnson Controls METASYS or equalenet product experience.\nArabic language skills.\nCEM certification.\nWhy Join Us\nYou will be joining a collaborative team with the opportunity to contribute to controls and retrofit growth across the region.
