This role serves as a key resource for quality improvement initiatives, ensuring products consistently meet customer requirements while supporting business objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.\nThe Quality Engineer will collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, analyze quality performance data, identify improvement opportunities, lead root cause investigations, and implement corrective and preventive actions.\nHow You Will Do It\nDevelop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes for AHU fabrication and assembly operations.\nReview engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure products meet dimensional and quality standards.\nPerform first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections of sheet metal components and/or coil assemblies.\nUtilize precision measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify product conformance.\nInvestigate nonconforming material, identify root causes of defects, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.\nCollaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality and process performance.\nCreate and maintain inspection plans, control plans, work instructions, and quality documentation.\nMonitor production quality metrics and analyze trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.\nSupport supplier quality activities, including supplier evaluations, audits, and corrective action follow-up.\nConduct internal audits and support customer and third-party audits to ensure compliance with quality management system requirements.\nApply quality tools such as A3 PST, 8D, 5-Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, SPC, PFMEA, and MSA to drive process improvements.\nVerify compliance with applicable industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in new product introduction activities, including process reviews, risk assessments, and production readiness evaluations.\nWork closely with production personnel to resolve quality concerns and implement effective containment actions.\nEnsure inspection equipment remains compliant and operational.\nPrepare and present quality reports, inspection findings, and corrective action status updates to management and customers.\nPromote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout the organization.\nWhat We Look For\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n1+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably low-volume/high-mix production. Position level and responsibilities may be adjusted based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.\nKnowledge of quality systems and standards, such as ISO 9001 requirements.\nExperience with quality methodologies including APQP, FMEA, CAPA, NCR, deviation management, and structured problem solving.\nExperience conducting root cause analysis and cross-functional corrective action.\nStrong mechanical and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or equivalent statistical and reporting tools.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with proven success interacting with customers, suppliers, and leadership teams.\nAbility to travel up to 25% as required to support customer visits, supplier audits, and field investigations.\nPreferred\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification.\nExperience with manufacturing quality engineering, root cause analysis, Toyota A3 methodology, APQP.\nExperience within HVAC, industrial equipment, or engineered-to-order manufacturing environments.\nKey Success Measures\nCustomer complaint reduction\nWarranty and field failure reduction\nInternal defect and scrap reduction\nCAPA closure effectiveness\nISO/QMS compliance performance\nCOPQ/Scrap reduction\nImprovement project implementation and savings realization.\nJOB POSTING SALARY RANGES\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,000-105,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
