In this lead field role, you will install and service card access, CCTV, intrusion alarm, electronic fire alarm, and related building system products at customer sites while guiding installation technicians and keeping projects moving to completion.\nRole Overview\nThis position combines hands-on technical installation with field leadership. You will coordinate work at customer sites, oversee installation technicians, manage project progress, and support customer communication from start to finish. The role requires strong blueprint reading, troubleshooting, programming, and documentation skills, along with a practical, safety-minded approach to service delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nInstall and service card access, CCTV, intrusion alarm, electronic fire alarm, and other related building system products at customer sites.\nLead, direct, oversee, and guide the work of installation technicians.\nManage projects and ensure timely completion of assigned work.\nHold regular meetings and provide detailed reports to support project execution and communication.\nRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.\nFollow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and use technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, and modification notices to repair equipment.\nComplete installation, programming, and testing using smart phones and laptop computers.\nCommunicate effectively with staff and customers to support a positive customer experience.\nObtain customer signature upon completion of the installation contract.\nMaintain truck inventory to help ensure timely response to customer needs.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nHow You Will Do It\nOwn the outcome by working safely, maintaining integrity in every job, and following through until the installation is complete and documented correctly.\nStay close to the work by using blueprints, manuals, and troubleshooting guidance to remove obstacles quickly at the jobsite.\nImprove every day through clear communication, detailed reporting, and practical problem-solving.\nWin as one team by coaching technicians, sharing knowledge, and building trust with customers and colleagues.\nQualifications\n10+ years of experience in the Security Industry, including installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming card access, CCTV, and intrusion systems.\nExperience leading and mentoring installation technicians.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nKnowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.\nExperience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions.\nCapable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.\nAble to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, and similar environments.\nAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.\nOccasional overnight travel may be required.\nDemonstrate a high level of customer service.\nAbility to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.\nStrong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.\nValid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.\nAbility to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.\nRetain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.\nKnowledge of applicable NFPA standards.\nNice to Have\nNICET experience.\nAssociate degree in IT or Electronics.\nExperience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming card access and CCTV.\nFire alarm experience.\nNetworking experience.\nWhy Join Us\nYou will join a collaborative team with competitive pay and bonus plan, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, extensive product and on-the-job/cross-training opportunities, company vehicle, tools, and equipment provided for the job, scheduling and management support, employee discount programs, and a strong commitment to safety through our Zero Harm policy.\nIf this sounds like the right fit, apply today and help us deliver trusted security solutions for our customers.\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $37.99-$51.92 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
