Senior Data Engineer

What you will do

We are looking for a Data Engineer or Data Analyst with a proven track record of designing, developing, and scaling robust data models that enable impactful Workforce Analytics and insights.

You will turn raw, ingested data into clean, trusted, analytics-ready datasets in Snowflake using Coalesce.io. This role is ideal for someone who has designed data models that solve real business problems in complex, large-scale organizations - balancing structure, flexibility, and scalability.

You'll partner closely with Data Integration Engineers (ingestion) and Data Platform Engineers (access & security) to deliver a scalable, high-quality data ecosystem for HR and business leadership.

How you will do it

Data Modeling & Transformation

• Design and maintain modular, reusable transformation pipelines in Coalesce.io
• Build analytics-ready Snowflake models (headcount, attrition, recruiting pipelines)
• Apply best practices for layered architecture (raw → staging → curated) and scalable model design

Workforce Data Complexity

• Model complex HR datasets: employee lifecycle, org hierarchies, job/position structures, recruiting pipelines
• Handle effective-dated data, slowly changing dimensions, and point-in-time reporting

Data Quality & Trust

• Implement data quality checks and validation logic
• Ensure accuracy of key workforce metrics; resolve data issues with Integration and Platform teams

Performance & Optimization

• Write efficient, optimized SQL; improve model and query performance
• Design structures aligned with secure consumption patterns

Collaboration & Business Enablement

• Partner with Integration Engineers on source systems (especially Workday) and Platform Engineers on access models
• Translate business requirements from People Analytics/HR into data models and standardized metrics
• Enable self-service analytics through well-documented datasets

Development Practices

• Use Azure DevOps/GitHub for version control and CI/CD
• Maintain clear documentation for models and logic

What we look for

Required

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
• Strong SQL skills (advanced transformations, performance tuning)
• Hands-on experience with transformation frameworks (Coalesce.io, dbt, or similar)
• Proven track record designing analytics-ready data models that solve business problems at scale
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred)
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, SCDs)

Preferred

• Experience with Workforce/HR data (Workday strongly preferred)
• Experience modeling effective-dated and hierarchical data
• Exposure to People Analytics use cases
• Familiarity with data quality frameworks
• Experience working with sensitive/PII data

Our salary

The initial basic salary for this position will be in the range of 1 462 500 - 2 285 166 HUF per month. The final offer will reflect your experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role. We are committed to fair, equitable, and gender-neutral pay practices.
