You will effectively support the implementation of the company EHS management system and best practices. The Project EHS Advisor provides support across planned/live projects taking place, within their regional remit.\nThis position reports directly to the UK&I EHS Manager and will be based in ROI.\nHow you will do it\nAct as a subject matter expert to project management teams and develop formal, project plans to drive continuous improvement across planned/ongoing projects \nMeet regularly and present EHS data to clients, project leaders and their management teams \nProvide support for effectively assessing and controlling risks on projects. Identify gaps and provide solutions to ensure compliance is achieved \nCreate, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with Clients, Project Managers, Supervisors, Employee representatives, Contractors and other key stakeholders \nPromote and support the continuous development of a positive EHS culture on projects \nMonitor and measure compliance with legal standards and establish effective follow up procedures to ensure any weaknesses are quickly and reliably addressed \nContribute to the proper drafting and effective communication of the projects EHS plans \nEvaluate, develop, promote and support the establishment and maintenance of a comprehensive and effective EHS management system by contributing to the development of the project Safety Management system \nIdentify employee EHS training and development needs, and act on them \nAssist in the solving of audit items contained in both internal, external and self-audit reports to ensure effective action is taken to solve these issues and concerns \nManage an internal audit programme for the project sites complete audits against plan, report actions to clients and Project Supervisors weekly, ensuring action item closure. \nIssue reports and work with project managers with regard to their EHS Data, identify trends and champion EHS Initiatives. \nConduct regular walks with the project management teams to provide general support and problem solving. \nAssist in the review and development of scope specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments for active projects, monitoring compliance with the prescribed methodology once works commence.\nParticipate in project site meetings to ensure key points are discussed and that suitable action is taken on the matters raised \nCarry out detailed investigations of more serious incidents on projects and assist in the drafting of appropriate reports including determining the root cause(s) of the incident and identify and implement appropriate actions to prevent recurrence \nLiaise with enforcing authorities when issues are raised and deal with any follow up investigation or enforcement action to reduce or mitigate risk to the Company \nParticipate in Compliance forums to keep up to date with best practices and network with other EHS professionals to keep abreast of the latest innovations and developments in order to drive forward continuous improvement within the Company \nManage and maintain all environmental aspects and their associated impacts, through the development of an effective compliance calendar and implementation of an appropriate project management system \nAssess all contractors’ processes and procedures to verify they meet the Company’s expected EHS standards and that their performance is satisfactory measured against agreed targets. \nWhat we look for\nCommunicate with impact: across the layers of the organization and across boundaries, in both oral and written communication \nStrong presentation skills towards internal and external parties \nTeam player mind set, but ability to operate effectively independently \nA member of IOSH, Certified level as a minimum (CMIOSH preferred) \nDegree or equivalent in Environmental, Health and Safety\n3-5 Years minimum EHS experience on large and complex construction projects \nStrong understanding of Irish legislation, including Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013\nExperience working in Pharmaceutical or Biopharma/Biotech (preferred)\nExperience of implementing EHS Management Systems and supporting procedures \nDrive and enthusiasm, a self-starter who can prioritize and work with agility in this type of environment \nFull driving license required\nActive Safe Pass Card required\nWhat we
