To support this journey, we are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Specialist who thrives at the intersection of laboratory testing, technical leadership, and continuous improvement.\nIn this role, you will become a key technical expert within our laboratory organization, driving advanced testing and validation activities for industrial chillers, heat pumps, and refrigeration systems. You will contribute directly to the development of future technologies while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.\nWhat you will do\nAs our new Senior Engineering Specialist, you will take a leading role in planning, executing, and developing laboratory testing activities. Working closely with R&D, Product Engineering, and external stakeholders, you will:\nLead performance, reliability, durability, and functional testing of industrial chillers and heat pumps.\nSupport prototype development, product validation, certification, and technology verification activities.\nConduct testing involving natural refrigerants, including Ammonia (R717), Butane (R600), and other A3 refrigerants.\nDrive the development and continuous improvement of laboratory capabilities, measurement systems, and test methodologies.\nSpecify, implement, and commission new instrumentation and data acquisition solutions.\nAct as a technical mentor for laboratory engineers, technicians, and operators.\nSupport customer witness testing and strategic product development projects.\nPromote and drive LEAN principles and continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.\nTake ownership of laboratory safety processes and contribute to a strong safety culture.\nPerform risk assessments related to refrigeration systems, pressure equipment, electrical systems, and refrigerant technologies.\nEnsure compliance with internal standards and relevant regulatory requirements.\nWhat we are looking for\nYou bring a strong technical foundation combined with extensive hands-on laboratory experience and a passion for developing both people and technology.\nYou likely hold a degree within Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a similar technical discipline and have several years of experience working with HVAC&R testing, laboratory engineering, or related development activities.\nFurthermore, we imagine that you have:\nSolid experience with chillers, heat pumps, refrigeration systems, compressors, and control systems.\nStrong knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration cycles.\nExperience working with natural refrigerants, including ammonia and A3 refrigerants.\nKnowledge of instrumentation, measurement technology, automation, and data acquisition systems.\nA structured and analytical approach to troubleshooting and technical problem solving.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple functions and stakeholders.\nIt would be an advantage if you have\nExperience with industrial refrigeration systems and high-temperature heat pumps.\nKnowledge of standards and regulations such as EN14511, EN14825, ISO 17025, PED, Machinery Safety, and ATEX.\nExperience leading safety initiatives, audits, or laboratory compliance programs.\nPrevious experience mentoring colleagues or acting as a
