You will report to the Sr. Manager of the Manufacturing Operations team and lead a cross-functional program team dedicated to scaling up the manufacturing line for JCI Stack Forging’s thermal management offerings.\nThis position is based in Burlington, MA. Candidates must be commuting distance to the facility, or able to relocate. Various relocation packages are available. You are a detail-oriented, collaborative problem solver who can effectively bridge design engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain. You will play a critical role in driving repeatability, reducing variation, accelerating assembly, and improving quality as production scales. This position generally requires a commitment of 5 days onsite per week.\nHow you will do it\nWork with design engineers to influence designs early on, driving DFM/DFA across all JCI Stack Forging manufacturing equipment.\nCreate and maintain assembly drawings, exploded views and callouts.\nCreate and contribute to ‘design histories’ documents for recording of key learnings, architectural selections, and process improvements.\nBuild and own clean multi-level BOMs for all JCI Stack Forging manufacturing equipment including defining part numbering, naming, revisioning and effectivity standards.\nDevelop clear, visual assembly instructions for: Parts and subassemblies, module and final system integration, and installation and test procedures.\nDevelop and own SOPs related to the operation and maintenance of JCI Stack Forging manufacturing equipment.\nCollaborate with technicians and engineers to validate instructions on the production floor and continuously improve documentation based on feedback.\nManage machine build projects including new machine builds, retrofits, and upgrades as necessary.\nOwn the release process for all parts and subassemblies ensuring a smooth transition from prototype to production.\nWhat you will need Required\nBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering field.\n5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in capital equipment.\nBackground in commissioning and productizing complex systems or capital equipment.\nProficiency with Solidworks, including large assemblies, drawings, configurations and manufacturing documentation.\nAbility to turn evolving process requirements and prototype designs into scalable, repeatable machines.\nExperience owning BOM structure, drawing standards, and assembly/work instructions from part to system level.\nPractical application of DFM/DFA to reduce build time, cost, and variability.\nComfortable partnering closely with design and process engineers to rapidly incorporate changes into equipment design and documentation.\nHands-on experience supporting early builds, machine bring-up, and production ramps\nHigh-ownership, “builder” mindset with the ability to move fast and make pragmatic tradeoffs in a startup environment.\nUS Citizen and/or Permanent Resident of the United States\nPreferred\nProven expertise with Lean Manufacturing principles.\nDirect experience with metal additive manufacturing, robotics, or industrial automation.\nExperience in high-volume mass production environments (e.g., automotive, consumer electronics, semiconductors or high-power computing/data center).\nExperience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.\nExperience with contract manufacturers and external build partners.\nExport Control Requirement: This position may require access to information, technology, technical data, software, or other items subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
