The role supports the Project Manager to ensure safe, timely, compliant, and high-quality project delivery, from design coordination through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.\nHow you will do it:\nEngineering & Technical Management\nCoordinate HVAC design development, shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements\n\nReview and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and standards\n\nResolve technical issues related to chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, ducting, pipework, and ventilation\n\nInterface with consultants and clients to address technical queries and design clarifications\n\nSite Execution & Coordination\nManage day-to-day HVAC site activities to ensure works are executed according to approved drawings and schedules\n\nCoordinate with main contractor, MEP trades, CSA teams, vendors, and subcontractors\n\nMonitor work progress and ensure alignment with the approved project program\n\nSupport site supervision teams to ensure installation quality and workmanship standards\n\nTesting, Commissioning & Handover\nCoordinate pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning (T&C) activities\n\nWork closely with commissioning agents, vendors, and client representatives\n\nEnsure proper preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation\n\nSupport final inspections, snag clearance, and client acceptance\n\nCost, Procurement & Contract Support\nAssist the Project Manager in cost control, variation evaluation, and progress claims\n\nTrack material procurement, deliveries, and vendor schedules\n\nIdentify potential variation orders and schedule risks early\n\nQuality, Safety & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with QA/QC procedures, inspection and test plans (ITP), and quality records\n\nEnforce site HSE requirements and safe work practices\n\nSupport audits, inspections, and authority submissions as required\n\nReporting & Documentation\nPrepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports\n\nTrack RFIs, technical submissions, approvals, and site instructions\n\nMaintain accurate project documentation and records\n\nWhat we look for:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in HVAC project engineering\n\nExperience delivering large-scale commercial, industrial, or data center projects is preferred.\n\nHands-on experience in HVAC installation, coordination, and commissioning\n\nData center or mission-critical project experience is a strong advantage\n\nStrong knowledge of Chilled water systems (air-cooled & water-cooled), CRAH / CRAC units, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems\n\nFamiliar with project schedules and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel)\n\nPreferred Skills:\nStrong coordination and communication skills\n\nProactive problem-solver with attention to detail\n\nAble to work independently and under tight project schedules\n\nGood stakeholder management and teamwork mindset","description_format":"text","description_chars":3129,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["HVAC & Refrigeration","Energy & Utilities","Energy Efficiency","Smart City"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-30T12:33:58Z"}],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":1,"expected_fill_days":25,"reasons":["conf:20","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-02T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/johnson-controls-senior-project-engineer-hvac","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/johnson-controls-senior-project-engineer-hvac.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-03T03:22:20Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3090,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1910,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-04T00:00:00Z"}}}
