Whether you're building expertise in Software Asset Management or looking to further develop your career in IT governance and optimization, this is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to global operations, industry-leading tools, and continuous learning opportunities.\nHow you will do it\nHelp manage the lifecycle of software assets across a global organization, from procurement and deployment through renewal and retirement.\nSupport software licensing compliance by analyzing entitlement, deployment, and usage data.\nMaintain and improve software asset data, contracts, and licensing records within ServiceNow SAM Pro and related platforms.\nContribute to software audits, vendor engagements, and governance activities to help reduce risk and ensure audit readiness.\nIdentify opportunities to optimize software usage, improve cost efficiency, and maximize the value of technology investments.\nCreate reports, dashboards, and insights that support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.\nCollaborate with teams across IT, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Security, and the wider business to support effective software asset management.\nWhat we look for\nRequired\nExperience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM) (software licensing, procurement operations, IT operations, vendor management, compliance, audit support).\nUnderstanding ofsoftware licensing models, including perpetual, subscription, SaaS, cloud, and enterprise agreements.\nOverview of Software Asset Management / IT Asset Management platform.\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets, reporting, and dashboards.\nExperience supporting procurement, contract, inventory, or asset-related data.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nEffective organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.\nPreferred\nServiceNow, IAITAM, ITIL, or other relevant certifications, or a willingness to pursue certification.\nHands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro.\nKnowledge of licensing models and agreements from major software publishers.\nExposure to software audits, compliance reviews, or publisher true-up activities.\nExperience working within a large, global organization.\nFamiliarity with software financial management, software optimization, and technology governance practices.\nExperience supporting automation, reporting, or process improvement initiatives.\nAbout Us\nJohnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, helps customers use energy more productively, reduce carbon emissions, and operate with the precision and resilience required in rapidly expanding industries such as data centers, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, and higher education.\nFor more than 140 years, Johnson Controls has delivered performance where it really matters.
