This role supports wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems, as well as fire pumps, with a strong focus on customer service, safety, and reliable field execution.\nKey Responsibilities\nReceive service calls from the Service Resource Center and review the reported equipment or system malfunction.\nContact customer representatives to confirm the issue and gather relevant site information.\nPerform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.\nWork on wet systems, including steel, copper, and CPVC, as well as dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.\nService and repair fire pumps as part of sprinkler and suppression system support.\nTroubleshoot equipment using technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, and modification notices.\nRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.\nDeliver a high level of customer service while maintaining a professional and positive presence on site.\nWork independently and manage field tasks with strong organization and attention to detail.\nMaintain truck inventory to support timely response to customer needs.\n\nHow You Will Do It\nWork safely, with accountability and integrity, and follow all Johnson Controls and customer safety requirements at all times.\nStay close to the work, diagnose the issue efficiently, and remove obstacles so the customer’s system is restored as quickly as possible.\nUse troubleshooting procedures, technical documents, and service information to reach accurate, practical repairs.\nRead drawings and manuals carefully, apply sound judgment in the field, and keep your work organized and precise.\nBuild trust through clear communication, responsive service, and a willingness to solve problems independently.\nImprove every day by learning from each service call, sharing clear observations, and applying continuous problem-solving.\nCollaborate with the Service Resource Center, customer representatives, and district teams to win as one team.\nQualifications\n3-5 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler service industry performing service and repair to sprinkler and suppression systems.\nNICET I or II Certification \nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.\nAbility to maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.\nAbility to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.\nValid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions.\nAbility to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.\nAbility to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, and working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, and similar spaces.\nAbility to read, understand, and follow all safety requirements of the company and the customer.\nAbility to work alone when required.\nNice to Have\nNICET Level III certification.\nBackflow certification.\nWhy Join Us\nJohnson Controls offers the opportunity to work on important building systems that support customers across critical industries.
