The staff Engineer will also support the manufacturing of the product representing the design team through initiating and executing design changes. The staff Engineer is responsible to develop and maintain skill sets and work practices to align with the expectations and needs of the organization.\nPrincipal Duties (as related to functional responsibilities ):\n· Maintains understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles, and processes related to mechanical aspects of water-cooled chillers\n· Works independently with minimal direction. Has proficiency in mechanical design and be able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product\n· Work closely with the design and drafting group in generating layout concepts and system configurations\nProficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support component design. Uses expertise to provide instruction and guidance to others.\nContributes to the on-time completion of programs and regularly reports on the status of projects.Able to represent Engineering in cross functional activities.\n· Prepare and help execute test programs to verify performance and reliability of mechanical sub-components and systems\n· Analyzes, designs, modifies and/or troubleshoots mechanical sub-components and sub-systems based on data and techniques requiring regular use of ingenuity and creativity\nApplies mechanical codes such as GB, CCC and ASME\n· Possesses knowledge of manufacturing processes and applies the philosophy of designing to standard manufacturing process\n· Strives for continuous improvement and teamwork in product development and processes\n· Occasional domestic and international travel (less than 20%)\nRequirements:\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\n· BS in Engineering or related science, MS preferred\n· Minimum 7 years’ HVACR experience in a related field\n· Strong understanding of fluid and thermal principles\n· Strong product development background in a manufacturing environment would be a plus\n· Proficient with Microsoft Office as well as Internet software\n· Fluent English skill in reading, listening, written and
