Monitor and maintain boiler systems and related equipment, perform routine inspections, support preventative maintenance activities, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment.\nHow You Will Do It\nAssist in the operation and maintenance of high-pressure gas/oil-fired boilers and associated equipment in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including weekends and holidays.\nMonitor and adjust boiler fuel-air mixtures, pump pressures, tank levels, and related systems through automated control systems to optimize efficiency and ensure safe operation.\nSupport maintenance activities on boiler systems and auxiliary equipment, including fireside and waterside cleaning, inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.\nMaintain accurate operating records, including shift logs, fuel usage reports, maintenance documentation, and system data entry using computerized systems.\nRespond to call-backs as needed to maintain staffing coverage and ensure continuous plant operation.\nSelect, prepare, and organize materials required for maintenance and operational activities based on work orders or verbal instructions.\nSet up and operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary to support plant operations.\nAssist with inventory management and the requisitioning of supplies, materials, and equipment as needed.\nFollow all established safety procedures, environmental requirements, and company policies.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nWork collaboratively with maintenance, operations, and facility teams to support plant performance objectives.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWhat We Look For\nRequired\nBasic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance practices.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.\nProficiency with basic computer systems for documentation and record keeping.\nPhysical ability to perform maintenance-related tasks, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.\nAvailability for emergency call-backs and shift coverage on a 24/7 basis.\nAbility to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipment.\nCommitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.\nValid driver's license, if required for site operations.\nPreferred\nSpecial Class Minnesota Boiler Operator License or higher, or equivalent boiler operator certification.\nAssociate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent education and experience, or a minimum of two years of experience in maintenance, facilities, plant operations, or a related field.\nExperience operating and maintaining high-pressure boiler systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.\nExperience working with computerized building, facility, or plant control systems.\nForklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment.\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25.70-35.09 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
