In this high-impact role, you will play a critical part in enhancing and extending the life of industry-leading fire suppression products. You'll tackle complex engineering challenges, lead product improvements and redesign initiatives, resolve technical issues, ensure compliance with evolving industry standards, and optimize product performance, reliability, and longevity. Candidates must commuting distance to the office, or able to relocate. Various relocation packages are available.Only US Citizens and/or Permanent Residents of the US will be considered for this role.\nHow you will do it\nProduct lifecycle support, product improvement, product deficiencies/field issues and maintain product approvals. \nCreate detailed designs and prototypes, ensuring compliance with international standards. \nConduct feasibility, stress, thermal, and fluid analyses to support design decisions. \nMaintain thorough documentation in accordance with ISO and internal quality standards. \nSupport experimental test programs and prototype development. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality management, Project/Product management, Sourcing and Approval agencies. \nWork with Manufacturing, Sourcing and Product management in developing new and/or modified component design. \nCollecting and analyzing data from operational processes, tests, and research experiments. Evaluate, test and provide reports for all product field returns. \nEnsure timely execution of tasks in alignment with stage-gate development milestones.\nAnalyze product and equipment specifications to guide design direction. \nApply engineering principles, mathematics, and physical sciences to solve complex problems. \nProvide technical insights on the design, materials, processes, and manufacturability. \nMaintain awareness of industry trends and global regulatory requirements.  Coordinate and lead design reviews, test plans, and project meetings. \nEnsure accountability and timely progress through each stage of the product lifecycle. \nWhat you will need\nRequired\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. \n5+ years of relevant engineering experience. \nHands-on lab experience collaborating with technicians. \nExperience with the full product development lifecycle, including prototyping and testing. \nAbility to strategize test plans without predefined protocols.\nUS Citizen and/or Permanent Resident of the US\nPreferred\nBackground in automotive, heating or other regulated industries. \nFamiliarity with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, etc.). \nUnderstanding of stage-gate methodologies and time-sensitive project execution.\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $135,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
