Your expertise in CNC programming, automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, tooling, and process troubleshooting will be crucial in reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement across our operations.\nWhy You’ll Love Working Here:\nWork with advanced CNC machining, grinding, heat-treatment, robotics, and automated inspection systems\nPlay a key role in improving equipment reliability, throughput, and product quality\nCollaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams\nApply your technical expertise to complex process and equipment challenges\nParticipate in preventive maintenance, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives\nGrow your career within a global manufacturing organization\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nImprove operational throughput by monitoring and optimizing manufacturing processes\nDocument changes to machine setpoints, programs, and operating parameters\nReduce downtime by executing preventive maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance activities\nIdentify nonstandard operating conditions and recommend resolution options to Production Supervisors and Team Leaders\nOptimize the use of tooling, labor, materials, and energy to reduce operating expenses\nSet up, maintain, and troubleshoot fixtures and tooling for CNC lathes, vertical machining centers, and grinding machines\nSupport special-purpose equipment, including induction heat-treatment cells, CNC grinders, deburring machines, washers, and automated nondestructive testing cells\nTroubleshoot industrial automation and robotic systems, including Fanuc, Motoman, and KUKA equipment\nProgram, operate, and troubleshoot Fanuc, Siemens, and Okuma CNC control systems\nSupport machining equipment such as Shimada and EMAG lathes and SW machining centers\nProvide technical troubleshooting and repair support to minimize equipment downtime\nImprove machine maintainability, reliability, and overall operational performance\nEnsure operational quality and efficiency targets are consistently achieved\nVerify that appropriate safety controls and requirements are implemented on each machine\nReview blueprints, GD&T requirements, measurement results, and CMM reports to ensure product conformity\nApply structured problem-solving techniques, including the 5 Whys, to identify and resolve equipment and process issues\nTrain and provide technical guidance to other team members\nMaintain accurate equipment documentation and record retention\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives\nEnsure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and all applicable Quality, Safety, and Environmental requirements\nPerform other related duties as assigned\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nDiploma as a Mechanical Engineering Technician, Manufacturing Engineering Technician, or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nPostsecondary certificate in CNC Programming or equivalent practical experience preferred\nFive to seven years of experience in a high-speed automotive manufacturing environment preferred\nAdvanced experience programming and operating CNC machines using Fanuc, Okuma, and Siemens control systems\nFamiliarity with Fanuc, Motoman, and KUKA robotics, including programming and troubleshooting\nStrong experience with CNC lathes, vertical machining centers, grinding machines, and automated production equipment\nExcellent blueprint-reading skills, including a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing\nAbility to use precision measurement equipment, inspect parts against engineering drawings, and interpret CMM reports\nUnderstanding of automotive quality systems and IATF 16949 requirements\nStrong technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills\nEffective written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels\nHigh integrity, dependability, urgency, and results orientation\nAbility to work rotating shifts and overtime as required\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment with limited climate control\nBonus Points If You Have:\nAdvanced CNC programming expertise across multiple machine platforms\nExperience with induction heat treatment, CNC grinding, deburring, washing, or automated nondestructive testing systems\nExperience improving machine reliability and maintainability\nKnowledge of preventive maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance methodologies\nExperience leading technical training or supporting the development of production team members\nProven success implementing continuous improvement projects in automotive manufacturing\nHow to Apply\nApply online at www.johnsonelectric.com.
