This role supports high-volume manufacturing operations by providing strong mechanical expertise across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and controls systems, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. You will reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.\nWhy You’ll Love Working Here:\nDiverse Projects: Work on a variety of projects across different industries, gaining broad experience.\n\nMentorship Opportunities: Access to mentorship programs that help you grow both personally and professionally.\n\nGlobal Mobility: Opportunities for international assignments and transfers to broaden your career horizons.\n\nEthical Practices: A commitment to ethical business practices and integrity in all operations.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nMaintain, repair, refurbish, and support production equipment and facilities in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.\n\nRepair, assemble, debug, install, and start-up new or modified CNC, PLC, robotic, and automated assembly equipment from a mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls perspective.\n\nPerform hands-on troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical systems, including machine tooling, automated equipment, and production systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\n\nWork collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to support new manufacturing projects, equipment upgrades, and production improvements.\n\nSupport planned maintenance activities, emergency repairs, and breakdown response to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.\n\nInterpret and work from mechanical drawings, schematics, operating manuals, and equipment documentation; assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.\n\nEnsure machinery and equipment meet operational quality, safety, and efficiency requirements.\n\nUtilize proper rigging, lifting devices, tools, and techniques to safely position, install, and repair equipment.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability, safety, and overall maintenance effectiveness.\n\nMaintain an organized, well-equipped maintenance area with strong housekeeping and project organization practices.\n\nWork with other maintenance team members to ensure effective communication, shift hand-off, and coordination of work.\n\nEnsure all work is completed in compliance with company Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Production Systems.\n\nPerform other related duties as assigned\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\nQUALIFICATION\nSecondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.\n\nValid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) (Red Seal or provincial equivalent) in good standing preferred\n\nCompletion of a recognized Millwright Apprenticeship preferred\n\nIn lieu of a Millwright Certificate or ticket, candidates with five (5) or more years of relevant hands-on industrial maintenance experience will be considered.\n\nEXPERIENCE\n1 to 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.\n\nExperience supporting CNC, PLC, robotic, or automated assembly equipment in a high-volume production setting.\n\nTECHNICAL & SKILL REQUIREMENTS\nStrong hands-on mechanical skills related to equipment assembly, machine repair, and preventative maintenance.\n\nWorking knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.\n\nExposure to PLC- and CNC-based equipment; Fanuc robot experience is considered an asset.\n\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.\n\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.\n\nEffective communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.\n\nHigh level of integrity, dependability, and sense of urgency in a production environment.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT (INCLUDING PHYSICAL DEMANDS)\nIndustrial manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, temperature variations, confined spaces, and production materials.\n\nRequired to stand, walk, crouch, climb ladders and stairs, push, pull, lift, and carry tools, components, and materials throughout the facility.\n\nOperation of material-handling and lifting equipment as required.\n\nWillingness to work rotating or continental shifts, overtime, and emergency call-ins as required to support operations.\n\nWhat we offer:\nJohnson Electric offers talented people like you the opportunity to grow professionally and personally, surrounded by some of the most dedicated, innovative, and entrepreneurial colleagues you will find anywhere.
