In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment to produce high-quality precision components while meeting productivity, safety, and quality standards.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for machinists who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have experience with CNC machining, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and continuous improvement.\nYour Responsibilities\nSet up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.\nProduce precision machined parts while adhering to quality and safety standards.\nInterpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.\nSelect and utilize appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters.\nPerform machining operations such as turning, milling, boring, threading, tapping, drilling, and facing.\nCalculate offsets and make machine adjustments as needed.\nConduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.\nTroubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues.\nMaintain accurate production and quality documentation.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the machine shop.\nOur Requirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n2+ years of machining, CNC operation, or related manufacturing experience preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.\nExperience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.\nWorking knowledge of shop math, decimals, fractions, and basic trigonometry.\nUnderstanding of machining principles, tooling, and cutting parameters.\nKnowledge of GD&T preferred.\nAbility to work independently and within a team environment.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand for extended periods during the work shift.\nAbility to lift and move materials up to 45 pounds.\nAbility to work safely around manufacturing equipment.\nWhy Johnson Electric?\nAt Johnson Electric, we are committed to creating innovative motion solutions that improve the world.
