Future position pipeline.\nSchedule:\nDays, afternoons, evenings, continental shifts, and weekends.\nAs a Millwright at Johnson Electric, you’ll play an important role in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, installing, and commissioning industrial production and test equipment. The role supports reliable, safe, and efficient high-volume manufacturing operations through mechanical expertise across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and related electrical and controls systems. The Millwright also supports equipment upgrades and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with company safety, quality, environmental, and production requirements. identify root causes and recommend appropriate repairs, replacements, or improvements.\nMaintain, repair, assemble, debug, install, align, test, and start up new, modified, or existing CNC, PLC-controlled, robotic, and automated assembly equipment from a mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and related controls perspective.\nMaintain and repair equipment such as pumps, valves, actuators, motors, gearboxes, mechanical drives, speed reducers, conveyors, presses, machine tooling, and related production systems.\nRead and interpret mechanical drawings, prints, layouts, schematics, operating and maintenance manuals, and other technical documentation; help maintain accurate equipment records and recommend updates where required.\nPerform precision mechanical work, including alignment, rigging, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, and equipment modifications, as required.\nUse appropriate tools, rigging practices, lifting devices, and material-handling equipment to safely position, install, dismantle, and repair machinery.\nRespond to urgent equipment failures, determine required parts and resources, and coordinate repairs with internal teams or external contractors as needed.\nSupport capital projects, equipment installations, commissioning, start-up, upgrades, and production improvement initiatives in collaboration with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams.\nUse the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS/EAM) to document completed work, update work orders, support parts procurement, and maintain equipment history.\nCoordinate with maintenance team members to support effective communication, shift hand-offs, work planning, project organization, and housekeeping.\nCoordinate or oversee contractor maintenance work when required and inspect completed work to ensure it meets company requirements and applicable standards.\nContribute to equipment reliability, safety, quality, and maintenance effectiveness initiatives; ensure machinery meets operational and production requirements.\nAssist with training and mentoring apprentices and less-experienced millwrights, as appropriate.\nFollow applicable legislation, safety procedures, codes, and company management systems, including relevant IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nSecondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.\nA valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Red Seal or provincial equivalent, in good standing, is preferred.\nCompletion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship is preferred.\nCandidates without a Millwright certificate or ticket may be considered with five (5) or more years of relevant hands-on industrial maintenance experience.\nExperience\nOne (1) to five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.\nDemonstrated experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical systems.\nExperience supporting CNC, PLC-controlled, robotic, or automated assembly equipment in a high-volume production environment is preferred.\nTECHNICAL & SKILL REQUIREMENTS\nStrong hands-on mechanical skills and knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear drives, rotating equipment, and industrial machinery.\nWorking knowledge of basic electrical and controls systems, with exposure to CNC- and PLC-based equipment; Fanuc robot experience is an asset.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.\nStrong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and analytical skills.\nKnowledge of preventative maintenance practices, equipment installation, alignment, rigging, and safe work procedures.\nUnderstanding of applicable occupational health and safety requirements and company safety, quality, and environmental procedures.\nWorking knowledge of CMMS/EAM systems and Microsoft Office applications is an asset.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and contractor teams.\nEffective communication skills, dependability, a sense of urgency in a production environment, and the ability to support or mentor less-experienced team members..\nWORK ENVIRONMENT (INCLUDING PHYSICAL DEMANDS)\nWork is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, temperature variations, production materials and by-products, heights, confined spaces, and areas with limited lighting.\nThe role requires standing and walking for extended periods and climbing stairs, ladders, or scaffolding;
