This person also Provides inter-departmental support on an ad-hoc basis to support the Production Equipment Repair & Maintenance goals and objectives. Follows and applies routine administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables. Complies with high standards of professionalism, efficiency, personal communication, discretion, and independent judgment.\nPerforms installation, maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment. Ensures appropriate records are maintained.\nSafely and efficiently executes daily tasks related to the maintenance of Equipment for the production of Absorbable & Non-Absorbable, molded, and Needle manufacturing materials manufacturing materials in an FDA-regulated environment. Typical tasks include Preventive Maintenance to equipment including the troubleshooting and repair of components, oil changes, testing, installing, and the removal of equipment.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nComplies with managerial requirements for core tasks for the support function of the Production Equipment Repair & Maintenance unit, and follows routine administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables. \nOrganizes collective data relative to the technical implementation, modification and ongoing monitoring of the quality, safety and efficiency of discrete production of unit-based items assembled from component parts. \nCompiles strategic data to communicate with Manufacturing Engineers to develop Repair and Maintenance schematics for the rollout of new and improved repair and maintenance processes, tools and equipment. \nHelps develop operational control standards and testing equipment to assess conformance with engineering specifications, including test apparatus of raw materials, parts, components, finished items and packaging. \nHelps identify and escalates technical production line problems to minimize finished item rejection levels, monitoring gauges and other indicators of production equipment and machinery performance. \nDemonstrates Johnson & Johnson’s Leadership Imperatives and Credo. \nMaintains manufacturing equipment which may include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems. Assists with the installation, setups and changeovers of machinery. \nTests and makes adjustments as needed. \nMakes routine repairs to malfunctioning equipment. \nAssists in the Implementation of process improvements. \nUpdates required documentation including maintenance and repair logs. \nAssists with trouble report preparation for malfunctioning equipment. \nReads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Applies safety procedures to all work. \nOrders parts and supplies occasionally in accordance with department procedures. \nSet-up, repair, trouble-shoot, maintain and replace parts of production equipment such as: braiders, sipp machine, hacoba, hot stretch, inspection tables, skeiners, waxers, anneal ovens, coating lines, bulk spoolers, and tube winders. \nMake adjustments, grease, and clean equipment, as required. \nPerform cleaning of assigned moisture meters. \nPerform cleaning of assigned anneal ovens. \nAssist in transport of raw materials, supplies and equipment to and from departments as needed. \nMonitor the braiders on a continuous basis to ensure they are producing the best possible quality product, repair all braiders flagged. \nDetect, troubleshoot, and resolve quality problems. \nDocument Maintenance/Preventive Maintenance on all equipment per the Preventive Maintenance System. \nPerform assigned Preventive Maintenance procedures. \nPerform wax changes as required. \nCross train on other jobs within the department and perform those jobs when required. \nServe as backup for set-up and doffing associates, if cross-trained. \nInstall or adjust braider guarding. \nComplete logbooks and other related forms using Good Documentation Practices. \nUse test equipment (Starett Gauge, Mitutoyo Gauge, Microscope, etc) where applicable. \nUtilize applicable software systems as needed for the job (e.g. ComplianceWire, ADAPTIV, etc.) \nConsistently meet required work performance targets (RE’s), if applicable \nSupport LEAN and Six Sigma Initiatives. \nSupport Maintenance Excellence (ME2) including 6S and Operator Asset Care. \nAccurately complete records as defined within the job procedures (e.g. manual and/or electronic documentation. \nPerform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor. \nConsistently meet required Training due date targets. \nResponsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level \nResponsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable. \nFor those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable \nResponsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures \nPerforms other duties assigned as needed \nEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION\n0-2 Years Work Experience \nHigh school education, G.E.D. or equivalent skills, experience, or training. \nExperience in analytical problem solving and troubleshooting of equipment. \nPrevious mechanical work experience or vocational training of mechanical nature required. \nAttend specialized training classes on repair, maintenance, and analytical trouble shooting when required by position. \nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS.\nComputer and database management skills. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal relation skills. \nBasic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages. \nGeneral knowledge of basic hand and power tools \nJohnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
