Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/.\nThe Lead Financial Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of financial reporting for R&D operations, including detailed analysis of both operational and capital expenditures by project. This role plays a critical part in guiding R&D teams to meet financial commitments through effective budget management, resource allocation, and strategic investment optimization. The Lead Financial Analyst will lead key financial processes such as forecasting, quarterly close, and reporting cycles, while driving process improvements and standardization aligned with SigniFi initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead financial planning and analysis for US Product Development and Scientific Affairs, including business planning, forecasting, project spend analysis, headcount planning, and capital planning.\nAdvise R&D leaders, department heads, and project managers on financial decisions, business plans, and operational priorities.\nTrack actual results against business plans, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate key insights to executive management.\nMonitor and ensure compliance with SOX requirements and company guidance.\nUse data-driven analysis to influence decisions and align them with financial and strategic objectives.\nImprove efficiency through system implementations, process standardization, and automated reporting and analytics.\nSupervise, coach, and develop team members.\nSupport ad hoc financial initiatives and special projects as needed.\nQualifications\nA minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required)\nMaster’s degree or MBA preferred; CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications are a plus\nA minimum of 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related business functions is required\nExperience in the MedTech industry is preferred\nProficiency with Anaplan or similar financial planning tools is preferred\nDemonstrated leadership experience with a track record of developing talent is required\nThis position is located in Irvine, CA and may require up to 5% domestic travel\nJohnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
