The position requires excellent C++ and Qt/QML development skills within a QNX environment, and the ability to work closely with other software engineers as well as multi-functionally. The successful candidate is self-motivated, curious, and has the desire to bring the latest software technologies into the medical world.\nAs a Lead GUI Engineer you will be responsible for:\nDesigning, implementing, and testing GUI software solutions for sophisticated problems.\nCreating specifications and requirements based on clinical and user feedback.\nDeveloping applications using Qt and C++ in an FDA regulated environment.\nBeing active in design discussions and code reviews.\nIntegrating, testing and debugging software solutions.\nLeading feature development from concept through release.\nIdentifying and implementing improvements in the architecture, design, and implementation of existing systems.\nEngaging multi-functionally and cross-project to discover novel solutions.\nRequired Education:\nBS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent\nCandidates with MS or Associate degree will be considered, provided they have equivalent experience.\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n6+ years of software development and testing experience\n5+ years of experience with GUI development using Qt/QML.\n5+ years of development experience using C++ on a Linux operating system.\nExperience and proficiency with unit testing and software verification.\nExperience working with Agile methodology as a personal contributor.\nStrong understanding of event driven architectures and finite state machines.\nFamiliarity with one or more shell scripting languages, such as bash.\nPreferred Skills & Experience:\n2+ years of development experience on QNX or other realtime OS.\nExperience within a heavily regulated industry (e.g. medical device, aerospace, automotive, etc.)\nSolid understanding of software design patterns, particularly MVC (Model-view-controller)\nExperience writing custom Qt/QML plugins, shared libraries, and extending the QML type system.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools and build systems.\nAre you interested in an excellent opportunity to be a key contributor to bringing exciting new products to market while also providing the opportunity for professional growth?
