The role serves as the bridge between business functions and technology teams, establishing a governance framework, driving master data quality initiatives, and ensuring master data supports operational excellence, analytics, regulatory compliance, and business decision-making.\nThe Manager Master Data Management provides leadership for master data domains, including product, suppliers, equipment, organizations, and reference data, while enabling business stakeholders to maximize the value of IM data assets. This role aligns data standards, processes, and governance practices across functions and geographies to create a trusted source of truth.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaster Data Governance\nDefine and implement IM QM&D Master Data Management (MDM) strategy and roadmap.\nEstablish and maintain data governance processes, standards, policies, and controls.\nDefine ownership, stewardship, and accountability for master data domains.\nChair governance forums and facilitate decision-making on data standards and priorities.\nEnsure alignment with data governance frameworks and operating models at enterprise level in other organizations across Innovative Medicine.\nMaster Data Quality Management\nMonitor and clean data sets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems\nDefine master data quality metrics, business rules, and monitoring processes in collaboration with the different stakeholders in IM Quality.\nLead proactive identification, remediation, and prevention of master data quality issues.\nEstablish master data quality dashboards and critical metrics.\nDrive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring data issues.\nPartner with business and technology teams to improve data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.\nMaster Data Operations\nBe responsible for lifecycle management of master data from creation through retirement.\nEnsure effective methods for data creation, validation, approval, synchronization, and maintenance.\nManage reference data and hierarchies across systems.\nCoordinate master data cleansing, deduplication, harmonization, and enrichment activities.\nEnsure seamless integration of master data across enterprise applications and analytical platforms.\nBusiness Partnership\nCollaborate with business process owners, functional leaders, data stewards, and IT teams to understand data requirements.\nTranslate business needs into master data standards and governance solutions.\nDrive adoption of data management guidelines through training and organizational change activities.\nAct as the escalation point for master data issues and governance decisions.\nCompliance and Risk Management\nEnsure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards.\nSupport internal and external audits related to data governance and data integrity.\nPromote adherence to industry standards such as DAMA-DMBOK, ISO 8000, GDPR, and GxP requirements where applicable.\nMaintain documentation, lineage, metadata, and auditability for key master data assets.\nContinuous Improvement\nFind opportunities for automation and process optimization.\nEvaluate and implement MDM tools and integration workflows.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to increase data maturity and business value.\nDevelop and track critical metrics that demonstrate the effectiveness of master data management capabilities.\nLeadership Responsibilities\nLead and mentor data stewards, business SMEs, and data management professionals.\nDevelop a culture of data ownership, accountability, and quality.\nInfluence senior stakeholders and obtain alignment across multiple business domains.\nDrive enterprise-wide adoption of data standards and governance practices.\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.\nMaster's degree preferred.\nExperience\nproven ability in data management, master data management, data governance, or related disciplines.\nDemonstrated experience implementing MDM programs.\nExperience handling multi-functional stakeholders in global organizations.\nExperience working with data warehouse, and cloud data platforms.\nTechnical Skills\nMaster Data Management platforms (SAP MDG, Informatica MDM, Reltio, Profisee, or equivalent).\nData governance and metadata platforms (Collibra, Alation, etc.).\nData quality management and profiling tools.\nSQL and data modeling knowledge.\nUnderstanding of data integration, APIs, and cloud platforms.\nKnowledge of reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.\nCompetencies\nStrategic thinking\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nCommunication and presentation excellence\nBusiness process understanding\nContinuous improvement attitude\nRequired Skills:\nPreferred Skills:\nAI Judgement Integration, Coaching, Compliance Management, Controls Compliance, Digital Assurance, Human-Computer Relationships, Performance Measurement, Process Improvements, Process Optimization, Quality Control (QC), Quality Standards, Quality Validation, Regulatory Compliance, Researching, Stakeholder Engagement, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Subject Matter Experts (SME) Collaboration, Technical CredibilityThe anticipated base pay range for this position is:\n€81’400.00 -
