Candidates authorized to work pursuant to a short-term status (e.g., F-1) who require future immigration sponsorship are not eligible.\nPurpose: Ensure the timely and cost-effective availability of raw materials and components required to execute the Pilot Plant production plan. The role converts the Master Production Schedule and Development-driven demand into material requirements, manages supplier commitments and inventory, resolves constraints, and leads the transition toward fully system-driven MRP.\nYou will be responsible for:\nMaterial planning and execution\nTranslate the Master Production Schedule, detailed schedules, and development demand into material requirements for the assigned Pilot Plant.\nTake an active leadership role in fully establishing and maturing the MRP processes, as no formal process currently exists for Synth DP Pilot Plant\nReview purchase requisitions and MRP exception messages; confirm order quantities, dates, purchase orders, supplier acknowledgements, and committed delivery dates.\nBalance supplier lead times, clinical flexibility, service, inventory, obsolescence risk, and budget targets.\nExpedite critical materials and ensure delivery and release in time to execute the production plan, including accelerated first-in-human timelines.\nCollaborate closely with Material Managers and Development Teams across both Solids Development and Parenteral Development to ensure the timely availability of materials.\nRisk, scenarios, and performance\nAssess material feasibility, model supply scenarios, identify constraints and trade-offs, and recommend resolution options to the end-to-end planning team.\nManage abrupt plan changes with suppliers; promptly escalate risks that cannot be resolved within required timelines.\nInventory and operational coordination\nDesign and maintain raw-material and component inventory processes, parameters, targets, and budget controls.\nPartner with warehouse teams to manage storage constraints and communicate future inventory impacts.\nCoordinate with Quality and warehouse teams on rejected or defective materials, including supplier returns or disposal.\nSystems, launches, and improvement\nSupport system design and implementation initiatives that enable fully system-driven MRP.\nSupport introduction of new materials, including master data, planning parameters, qualification, ordering, and stakeholder communication.\nDrive continuous improvement of MRP processes, tools, data quality, and ways of working.\nMaintain effective relationships with New Products Introduction coordinator, Pilot Plant Operations, Detailed Scheduling, Quality, Warehouse, Procurement teams and Supply Network Planning,\nTrack supplier service performance, investigate recurring issues, and coordinate corrective actions with Procurement, Pilot Plant Operations, Quality and Supply Network Planning.\nQualifications/Requirements:\nMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, life sciences, or equivalent experience.\nMinimum of 6 years of relevant supply chain, planning, procurement, or manufacturing experience.\nAPICS or equivalent supply chain certification is desirable.\nKnowledge of clinical trials, clinical supply chains, material requirements planning, inventory management, and production scheduling. \nUnderstanding of relevant manufacturing environments; experience across synthetics, proteins, or cell and gene modalities is beneficial. \nStrong analytical and operational skills, with the ability to interpret exceptions, assess cost-benefit trade-offs, manage complexity, and make data-supported recommendations. \nResults-oriented, adaptable, detail-focused, and able to operate with urgency in a volatile clinical environment. \nEffective communicator and collaborator who can influence across functions and cultures, tailor messages to the audience, and challenge existing processes constructively. \nProfessional proficiency in EnglishExperience with enterprise resource planning and advanced planning systems; SAP and OMP experience is preferred\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Experience with applicable GMP, GCP, GDP, and quality-management processes \nOther requirements\nRequires proficiency in English (excellent written and verbal communication skills) to communicate effectively and professionally\nRequires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on-site a minimum of three days each week, with the option for two remote workdays each week \nRequired Skills:\nPreferred Skills:\nThe anticipated base pay range for this position is:\n€81,400.00 - €140,530.00Benefits:\nIn addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
