DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a MDM Analyst, located in Chiyoda, Tokyo Japan

Overview

As a Master Data Management Analyst within Global Services, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of enterprise data that supports business operations. This role contributes to effective data lifecycle management, enabling high-quality data for decision-making, compliance, and operational efficiency.

You will work in a collaborative, global environment, supporting standardized processes, enhancing systems and tools, and driving continuous improvement. This position offers strong development opportunities within data operations and global services.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute master data operations activities in accordance with defined procedures, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls
• Support data entry, validation, transformation, and quality checks across systems to maintain reliable and consistent master data
• Prepare and maintain operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor performance and data quality
• Resolve routine data and process issues while ensuring proper documentation andadherence to standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven solutions and business requirements
• Contribute to projects that enhance master data processes, tools, and systems, including automation initiatives
• Ensure adherence to data governance policies and standardized global processes
• Maintain data consistency across systems, identifying and addressing discrepancies or inefficiencies
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support business needs and improve service delivery

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degreerequired, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field

Experience and Skills

Required:

• 0-2 years of professional experience in data management, operations, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of data accuracy and quality
• Analytical thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and support decision-making
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (particularly Excel) and familiarity with enterprise systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred:

• Experience with master data management or data governance processes
• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar platforms)
• Experience in a shared services or global operations environment
• Familiarity with automation tools or digital technologies
• Experience extracting, analyzing, and reporting on data from multiple data sources
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement processenhancements
• Knowledge of compliance, audit, or data quality standards

Other

• Language: Fluent Japanese and business-level English required
• Travel: Minimal (0-10%), primarily regional if needed
• Certifications: Data management, Lean, or Six Sigma certifications preferred
