The Process Excellence Engineer defines opportunities, analyzes data, designs manufacturing line flows, and improves business processes. Improvement initiatives are led by enlisting and influencing cross-functional teams that deliver tangible business results through the application of Lean and Six Sigma principles, methodologies and tools. Utilizing business, leadership and technical skills, the Process Excellence Engineer will execute projects at the manufacturing site.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES\n· Responsible for development and execution of a plan to deliver process performance improvements related to Quality, Delivery, and Cost of a manufacturing process or line.\n· Develops change management plan and execution plan to improve flow of products, people and information.\n· Leverages process knowledge to identify opportunities / solutions to improve throughput capacity by reducing impact of constraints.\n· Is responsible for driving associates' engagement and for developing Lean and Six Sigma capabilities through coaching and mentoring.\n· Sustains business improvement results through the application of Lean, Six Sigma, ME², Do It Right, and other continuous improvement methodologies.\n· Facilitates business case definitions and results presentations, as required.\n· Comply with all applicable quality management system, environmental, safety and occupational health policies (for example, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001).\nQualifications:\nEducation: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent University degree is required; focused degree in Engineering, Science or related field preferred.\nRequired:\nMinimum two (2) years of relevant professional work experience\nDemonstrates knowledge of the manufacturing process and functions of various machines supporting the operation.\nDemonstrates understanding of common engineering analysis tools such as statistical process control, which are applied in conjunction with continuous improvement principles.\nDemonstrates awareness of other engineering specialties and upstream stakeholders, including Quality Engineering and New Product Introduction teams.\nDemonstrates knowledge of factors against which production effectiveness is measured, including elements such as inventory effectiveness (i.e., WIP), product quality (i.e., critical quality attributes, critical process parameters, proven acceptable ranges, etc.) and other relevant metrics.\nDemonstrates understanding of health and safety requirements.\nDemonstrates basic knowledge of equipment effectiveness and manufacturing and maintenance excellence concepts (OEE, SOL, etc.).\nDemonstrates understanding of the need for cost management and its importance for customers and consumers.\nDemonstrates basic knowledge of product costs (i.e., COGS), Design to Value concepts, and key levers that impact improvement or degradation in cost performance.\nAbility to deliver oral and written communications around process improvement projects. Communication should show clarity of objectives.\nDemonstrates an organized, analytical approach to problem solving.\nDemonstrates familiarity with FDA, GMP and ISO.\nLeads change, connects with others and shapes the environment.\nIs experienced with change management skills.\nPreferred:\n\nExperience in Manufacturing\nExperience in Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and Project Management\nLean or Six Sigma certification as Green Belt or Black Belt\nExperience in requesting and translating customer needs\nUnderstanding of financial processes (standard cost development) and business planning\nIn-depth understanding of production and quality control techniques such as CFM and TQM\nOther:\nMay require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel to other sites and locations.\nThe ability to work overtime, off-shift hours and some holidays as needed by the business is required.\nWORKING CONDITIONS\n1.
