You will work closely with engineering and technology teams, sector IT partners, cybersecurity and regional stakeholders to design robust, compliant solutions tailored to China market including GenAI integrations, cloud platforms and modern enterprise software architecture.\nThe successful candidate must demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions without authority, lead multiple initiatives, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and solving complex business and technology challenges is essential.\nRoles & Responsibilities\n1. Solution Architecture & Technical Design\nLead solution architecture and technical design for enterprise applications and digital platforms within China market.\nTranslate business needs and architecture strategies into scalable, secure, resilient, and supportable solution designs.\nDefine and apply reference architectures, design patterns, engineering standards, and technology best practices.\nCloud Solution Design: Ability to evaluate and assess architectural trade-offs and select appropriate cloud services, architecture patterns, and technology components based on business, technical, security, operational, and cost requirements.\nProduce architecture deliverables including solution designs, integration architectures, GenAI design patterns, deployment models, and technical specifications.\nEnsure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements, including security, performance, resilience, modernization, API first, AI-enabled, compliance and regulatory obligations.\nConduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, solution evaluation and advisory activities throughout the project lifecycle.\nProvide governance and delivery oversight to ensure implementation aligns with approved architecture and enterprise standards.\nIdentify technical risks, evaluate solution options, and drive mitigation strategies and technology decisions.\n2. Business Partnership\nPartner with business technology stakeholders, product owners, project managers, to understand business priorities including regulatory and compliance needs.\nCollaborate with cross functional IT teams, enterprise architects, software engineering units to align technical designs with business requirements.\nWork closely with vendors and implementation partners to ensure solutions meet Johnson & Johnson standards and successful technical integration with internal platforms.\nCommunicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.\n3. Technology Leadership and Architecture governance\nRecommend technology solutions, platforms, and integration approaches aligned with business and architecture objectives.\nDevelop and maintain reference architectures, design standards, reusable patterns, and engineering best practices.\nProvide architecture governance and guidance to ensure solution delivery remains aligned with approved designs.\nParticipate in architecture reviews and prepare technical artifacts for Architecture Review Board (ARB) evaluations.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to inform technology roadmaps and enterprise capability evolution.\nCollaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Data, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to drive successful solution outcomes and continuous improvement.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.\n7+ years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 3+ years actively operating in a solution architect of lead technical engineer role.\nDemonstrated experience designing enterprise-scale technology solutions.\nExperience working across multiple technology domains.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProven experience in working within multinational and life sciences organizations within China market.\nUnderstanding of regional technology considerations including data residency and regulatory requirements.\nExperience with Architecture Review Boards and architecture governance.\nFamiliarity with TOGAF or enterprise architecture methodologies.\nAWS, Azure, AI Engineer/Practitioner certifications are advantageous.\nTechnical Skills and breadth:\nStrong experience in several of the following areas:\nCloud native services: Azure, AWS, cloud computing, security, defense in depth, strong understanding of cloud-native components and the ability to select appropriate platform components, deployment models, and architecture patterns\nIntegration & APIs: REST APIs, API Management, enterprise integration patterns, and event-driven architectures\nApplication Architecture: Distributed systems, microservices, containerization, and Kubernetes platforms\nData & Messaging: Data architecture, data integration, and messaging technologies\nSecurity: Identity and Access Management (IAM) and security-by-design principles\nEnterprise business platforms: CRM (Salesforce, MS Dynamics), ERP (SAP and its variants), and enterprise business application ecosystems\nGenAI & AI Platform:\nLLMs, RAG, AI agents, and prompt orchestration\nAI application architecture and integration patterns\nVector databases and semantic search\nAI gateways, guardrails, and responsible AI controls\nModel serving, inference
