The role requires the production of all shipping documentation, including Export Invoices, Dangerous Goods documents, Certificates of Origin, and Letters of Credit.\nThis is a hybrid role with the expectations of being on site once a week.\nAt Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. You’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern society and enhancing lives - as we continue to apply, refine and recycle metals that matter, for a healthier and more resilient future.\nYour responsibilities:\nTo arrange for the safe and secure transport of all shipments (UK and International) with appropriate approved freight forwarders or carriers\nTo arrange for the safe and secure collection of refining materials from our customers for delivery to the appropriate site\nEnsuring shipments are processed in a timely manner to meet customer required delivery dates.\nDeal with all carrier or freight forwarder issues relating to shipments.\nPrepare all documents through internal systems to accompany the shipment (i.e. Commercial Invoice, Delivery Notes, Packing Lists, Letters of Credit, Certificates of Origin and Dangerous Goods Notes etc. required by the customer or Customs and compliance bodies as appropriate)\nLiaise with carriers / forwarders on issues of reported delays, losses or damage to any Johnson Matthey shipments and advise internal customers.\nProvide advice and guidance to sales and customer service teams on the cost and risk implications of alternative shipping methods (Road, Sea, Air) INCO terms.\nCheck and approve freight invoices for their own shipments.\nEnsure all documents for export and imports are compliant in terms of customs legislation and export control procedures.\nMaintain good relationships with sales and customer service teams and notify them of any potential delays to shipment.\nTake part in any regular reviews or carriers or freight forwarders.\nProvide an exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.\nRequirements for the role:\nGood IT skills with microsoft office, Outlook and Teams (Essential)\nGood at forming relationships with other functional teams (Essential)\nGood working knowledge of export operations including documentation requirements (Essential)\nUnderstanding of Known Consignor, Regulated Agent (Essential)\nPrevious experience working in customer focused role (Essential)\nEven if you only match some of the skills, we’d love to hear from you to discuss further!\nWhat we offer:\nWe make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
