In the Edmonton region we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku.

We offer various shifts:

  • Rotating Day Shift (continental)

  • Monday to Thursday Nightshift

  • Weekend Nightshift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

We are looking for 3rd and 4th Year Apprentices to work in our panel shop or in production line!

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams and build electronic components.

  • Install and terminateconduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices.

  • Construct and fabricate power and control panelsfor unit installation.

  • Install interconnection wiring and perform wiring check out.

  • Set up and perform circuit tests.

  • Apply knowledge of current electrical code and CSA standards.

  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.

  • Ensure qualityof the product.

  • Performs all duties in accordance withSilent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Registeredas an apprenticeelectricianin Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school.

  • 1-2 years of related experience is an asset.

  • Knowledge and experience using power & hand tools.

  • Ability to work under the supervision of journeyman electricians, as part of a team, and independently in a busy environment.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.

  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Knowledge of RF, high voltage, analogue, and digital components.

  • Knowledge of PLC is an asset.

  • Knowledge of transformers, relays, magnetic contactors, and motor protectors is an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Manual dexterity requiredto use necessary tools.

  • Long periodsof standing.

  • Both Industrial/Commercial indoor environments.

  • Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.

  • Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).

  • Overtime as required.
