You will own key parts of the product development lifecycle, guide technical decisions, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to bring robust, cost-effective, and compliant solutions to market.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and develop a team of mechanical and design engineers supporting chiller product development.\nOwn the end-to-end development process from concept, design, prototyping, and testing through production release.\nPrepare and review 3D models, engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and supporting technical documentation.\nGenerate and review pressure vessel and heat exchanger drawings and specifications to meet order and product requirements.\nCollaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, procurement, marketing, and customer-facing teams to align engineering output with business needs.\nDrive product improvements that enhance performance, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and manufacturability.\nSupport validation activities, design reviews, and engineering changes for new and existing products.\nEvaluate technologies, materials, and design approaches that strengthen product competitiveness.\nSupport field and service teams with technical expertise and issue resolution when needed.\nMentor team members and build engineering capability through coaching, review, and feedback.\nHow You Will Do It\nYou will take ownership of outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrity, ensuring engineering decisions are practical, traceable, and aligned to quality expectations.\nYou will stay close to the work by engaging with design, manufacturing, and service teams early, so issues are identified and removed before they affect customers.\nYou will use structured product development methods such as stage-gate thinking, DFMEA, and DVP&R to keep programs disciplined and well controlled.\nYou will encourage clear feedback, root-cause problem solving, and continuous improvement across product design, testing, and release activities.\nYou will win as one team by collaborating across functions, building trust with stakeholders, and valuing diverse technical perspectives.\nYou will keep documentation current and precise, including drawings, specifications, change records, and engineering deliverables.\nYou will balance technical depth with practical execution, ensuring designs are ready for production and supportable in the field.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.\n10+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration or chiller product design and development.\nAt least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.\nStrong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and refrigeration cycles.\nProficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Creo.\nExperience with product development processes including DFMEA, DVP&R, and stage-gate methodologies.\nExperience creating and reviewing engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.\nExcellent communication, project management, and team leadership skills.\nNice to Have\nExperience with ASHRAE, ISO, PED, ASME, or API requirements in product development or compliance work.\nExposure to pressure vessel and heat exchanger design for industrial refrigeration applications.\nExperience supporting manufacturing, procurement, or field issue resolution in a product development environment.\nFamiliarity with continuous improvement practices in an engineering or manufacturing setting.\nWhy Join Us\nJoin a collaborative team where your engineering leadership can directly influence product performance, reliability, and customer outcomes.
