Working under the guidance of experienced Designers and Engineers, this role assists in translating engineering concepts, specifications, and project requirements into accurate technical drawings and manufacturable designs.\nIn this role, you will support engineering projects by updating drawings, implementing design revisions, maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to address design-related questions and support production activities. This position provides an opportunity to develop technical design skills while gaining experience with custom equipment, manufacturing processes, and engineering best practices in a fast-paced environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nCreate and revise 3D models, fabrication drawings, assemblies, and engineering documentation for HVAC equipment and related systems.\n\nAssist in translating engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate technical drawings and designs.\n\nSupport the development and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product documentation.\n\nEnsure drawing accuracy, revision control, and compliance with company drafting standards and engineering procedures.\n\nWork with Designers, Engineers, and Manufacturing personnel to resolve drawing discrepancies and support project deliverables.\n\nIncorporate design revisions and engineering changes into existing models and drawings.\n\nPerform basic design checks, dimensional reviews, and manufacturability assessments under guidance from senior team members.\n\nSupport manufacturing, testing, and prototype activities by providing updated documentation and design support.\n\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining design standards and best practices.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate degree,ortechnical certificationin Mechanical Design, Drafting Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.\n\n2-5years of experience supporting mechanical equipment, assemblies, or engineered products in a manufacturing environment.\n\nUnderstanding of sheet metal design, fabrication processes, manufacturing methods, and material selection.\n\nStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nEffective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across engineering, manufacturing, andoperationteams.\n\nJohnson Controls International plc. is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a qualified individual with a disability or any other characteristic protected by law.
