Responsible to contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems. Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.\nHow you will do it\nFollow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. to repair equipment\nService, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers’ Fire & Life Safety systems including SimplexGrinnell\nRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals\nExhibit excellent customer service skills by consistently communicating with the district staff and customers to ensure customer satisfaction\nComplete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices, such as smart phones and laptop computers\nObtain customer signature upon completed service call assignment\nParticipate in a scheduled On-call rotation\nHelp to train or mentor others on the service team\nProvide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities\nProvide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.\nPerform other duties as assigned\nWhat we look for\nRequired\n2+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems\n\nExperience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals\n\nKnowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyser, and commissioning devices\n\nCapable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.\n\nAble to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc\n\nAbility to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements\n\nOvernight travel may be required\n\nDemonstrate a high level of customer service\n\nMaintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs\n\nAbility to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures\n\nStrong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly\n\nPossess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements\n\nAble to pass a pre-employment background and drug test\n\nRetain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes\n\nPreferred\nNICET Level II certification\n\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $29-44 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
