Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.\nThis role is located at our facility in Edmonton and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.\nThis role is offered on the following shift options:\nRotating Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including some weekends.\nWeekend Night Shift: Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nLoad, unload, and move products and materials by hand or equipment.\n\nSort and package fabricated parts onto a cart according to the subassembly list and deliver to point of use in the plant (manually or with equipment).\n\nCheck to ensure subassembly counts are correct and items meet a visual quality inspection and report any discrepancies to the fabrication area.\n\nMay perform other activities such as assisting in taking inventory and weighing/checking and sorting materials.\n\nPut away received materials to proper storage locations\n\nConfirm inventory transactions are complete.\n\nParticipate in clean-up.\n\nPerforms all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.\n\nOther duties as required.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities\nAbility to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.\n\nEffective communication skills.\n\nTime management skills.\n\nCritical eye for identifying defects.\n\nKnowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes.\n\nAbility to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.\n\nKnowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.\n\nMust be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 40 pounds.\n\nWorking Conditions\nCommercial/Industrial environment.\n\nExercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.\n\nAlways adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).\n\nEmployee may be exposed to uncomfortable work settings such as cold weather outdoors; may have combinations of standing, crouching, or sitting throughout the day.\n\nOvertime as required.\n\nJohnson Controls’ Canadian subsidiaries are committed to providing reasonable accommodation to applicants, candidates and employees with disabilities, in accordance with applicable human rights legislation, and in Ontario, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (“AODA”).
