This is a great opportunity to lead a dedicated team in our Albany, MO plant, driving daily production goals while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.\nYou will be accountable for directing the activities of a work team to meet daily production schedules in the assembly / fabrication of sub-assemblies, parts, or units within an assigned area while upholding a strong commitment to production goals, efficiency, quality, and safety standards.\nHow you will do it\nFacilitate and direct team members’ workflow within the assigned department, including distributing work, disseminating information, assigning team members for absences, answering questions, and resolving problems within the work unit.\n\nControl costs within budget levels by minimizing scrap and rework costs.\n\nAnticipate and react to production problems or delays, material shortages, and equipment malfunctions.\n\nProvide technical assistance for equipment malfunctions and expedite repairs.\n\nCollaborate with engineering to implement improvements in cost reduction, work simplification, production scheduling, and labor planning.\n\nSupervise, evaluate, and train the workgroup. Assist in accident investigation and corrective action.\n\nPromote a safe work environment and ensure employees follow all safety policies.\n\nMaintain accurate production and employee records.\n\nEnsure fair and consistent application of all company policies and procedures.\n\nApply LEAN tools to measure and enhance the department's Key Business Drivers (i.e., VSM, SMED, 5S, TPM, Kaizen, etc.).\n\nWhat we look for\nRequired:\nUniversity degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or 2 year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nPrevious experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.\n\nAvailability to work 2nd shift (3pm - 1am - Mon-Thursday as well as Friday as an overtime day)\n\nProficiency using MS Office Suite\n\nPreferred:\nLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience utilizing Lean tools to measure and improve the department's Key Business Drivers (i.e., VSM, SMED, 5S, TPM, Kaizen, etc.)\n\nHiring Salary Range\n$67,900.00 - 101,900.00 USD Annual (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
