You will play a critical role in defining workforce metrics, ensuring data quality, and enabling trusted insights across HR, analytics, and business leadership.\nYou will work closely with Data Integration Engineers (data ingestion) and Data Platform Engineers (data access and security) to deliver a scalable, high-quality data ecosystem.\nHow you will do it\nData Transformation & Modeling (Core Focus)\nDesign, build, and maintain data transformation pipelines in Coalesce.io\n\nDevelop analytics-ready data models in Snowflake (e.g., headcount, attrition, recruiting pipelines)\n\nApply best practices for:\n\nModular, reusable transformations\n\nClear layer separation (raw → staging → curated)\n\nMaintainable and scalable model design\n\nWorkforce Data Modeling\nModel complex Workforce / HR datasets, including:\n\nEmployee lifecycle (hire → transfer → termination)\n\nOrganizational hierarchies\n\nJob and position structures\n\nRecruiting pipelines\n\nHandle challenges such as:\n\nEffective-dated data\n\nSlowly changing dimensions\n\nPoint-in-time reporting\n\nData Quality & Reliability\nImplement and maintain data quality checks and validation logic\n\nEnsure consistency and accuracy of key workforce metrics\n\nInvestigate and resolve data issues in partnership with Integration and Platform teams\n\nBuild trust in enterprise workforce datasets\n\nSnowflake Optimization (Data Layer)\nWrite efficient and optimized SQL for transformation pipelines\n\nImprove performance of models and downstream queries\n\nDesign data structures that align with secure consumption patterns defined by the platform\n\nCross-Team Collaboration\nPartner with Data Integration Engineers to:\nUnderstand source system structures (especially Workday)\n\nEnsure proper ingestion and schema alignment\n\nPartner with Data Platform Engineers to:\nAlign on access models and consumption layers\n\nSupport secure and scalable data usage\n\nBusiness Enablement\nTranslate business requirements from People Analytics and HR stakeholders into data models\n\nDefine and standardize workforce metrics and business logic\n\nEnable self-service analytics through consistent and well-documented datasets\n\nCI/CD & Development Practices\nUse Azure DevOps / GitHub for version control and deployment\n\nSupport CI/CD workflows for transformation pipelines\n\nMaintain documentation for models, logic, and data definitions\n\nWhat we look for\nRequired\n5+ years of experience in data engineering\n\nStrong SQL skills (advanced transformations, performance tuning)\n\nHands-on experience with data transformation frameworks (Coalesce.io, dbt, or similar)\n\nExperience building and maintaining analytics-ready data models\n\nExperience working with cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred)\n\nStrong understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional, SCDs, etc.)\n\nPreferred\nExperience with Workforce / HR data (Workday strongly preferred)\n\nExperience modeling effective-dated and hierarchical data\n\nExposure to People Analytics use cases and metrics\n\nFamiliarity with data quality frameworks and testing approaches\n\nExperience working in environments with sensitive/PII data\n\nOur salary and benefits\nThe initial basic salary for this position will be in the range of €3,346 - €5,230 per month, plus a 13th month salary applied after your first 6 months in the job.
