This role serves as a key technical resource for quality improvement initiatives, ensuring products consistently meet customer requirements while supporting business objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.\nThe Senior Quality Engineer will influence business results by analyzing quality performance data, identifying improvement opportunities, leading root cause investigations, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. The role acts as a bridge between customers, suppliers, manufacturing, engineering, and field teams to drive continuous improvement and enhancethe overallcustomer experience.\nHow You Will Do It\nLead quality improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction, process capability improvement, cost of poor quality (COPQ) reduction, and customer satisfaction enhancement.\n\nAnalyze quality data, field performance data, warranty information, and customer feedback to identify trends and prioritize improvement opportunities.\n\nFacilitate root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 9S, A3, and DMAIC approaches.\n\nLead and support APQP activities, PFMEA development, control plans, process validation, and risk mitigation efforts for new and existing products.\n\nPartner with operations, engineering, supply chain, and field service teams to implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.\n\nConduct customer investigations, customer site visits, and field assessments to understand performance concerns and support resolution activities.\n\nServe as a primary quality contact for customers and suppliers regarding quality issues, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nEvaluate nonconforming materials, participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, and support disposition decisions and containment actions.\n\nSupport and maintain compliance with the Quality Management System, including ISO 9001 requirements, internal audits, corrective action programs, and management review processes.\n\nCollaborate with suppliers to establish quality expectations, drive supplier corrective actions, and reduce supplier-related quality issues.\n\nDevelop and present quality metrics, dashboards, and project status updates to leadership teams.\n\nMentor quality engineers, inspectors, and cross-functional teams on quality tools, methodologies, and best practices.\n\nPromote a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer-focused quality throughout the organization.\n\nWhat We Look For\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n\nMinimum of 7 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably low-volume/high-mix production.\n\nStrong knowledge of quality systems and standards, including ISO 9001 requirements and auditing principles.\n\nDemonstrated experience with quality methodologies including APQP, FMEA, CAPA, NCR, deviation management, and structured problem solving.\n\nExperience conducting root cause analysis and leading cross-functional corrective action teams.\n\nStrong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or equivalent statistical and reporting tools.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with proven success interacting with customers, suppliers, and leadership teams.\n\nDemonstrated project management and prioritization skills with the ability to drive results through influence and collaboration.\n\nAbility to travel up to15% as required to support customer visits, supplier audits, and field investigations. Based on source roles requiring travel.\n\nPreferred\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), or equivalent certification.\n\nISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.\n\nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.\n\nExperience with customer quality, warranty analysis, reliability engineering, and field quality programs.\n\nExperience within HVAC, industrial equipment, or engineered-to-order manufacturing environments.\n\nKey Success Measures\nCustomer complaint reduction\n\nWarranty and field failure reduction\n\nInternal defect and scrap reduction\n\nSupplier quality improvement\n\nCAPA closure effectiveness\n\nISO/QMS compliance performance\n\nCOPQ reduction\n\nImprovement project implementation and savings realization.\n\nSALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $140,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
